Special teams was atrocious
I wonder if Lirim's kicking problems are attributable to his NFL aspirations? Is the pressure of performing getting to him?

Special teams was atrocious
Love Milt's tweet below. Milt Stegall @MiltStegallTSN · 2m2 minutes ago to @_Stoudermire11 ( Troy Stoudemire all other great returners. It's good 2 be great, but sometimes being smart is better than being great

Positives?
Positive...Riders are still 0 - 4. All three facets of the team have contributed to losses this year but they've also contributed to the wins. I still think we're losing the battle on defence , especially in the trenches and I lay that squarely on the front seven. Walters fixed the O-line in one off season. I hope he can work the same magic next off season.

Bomber injury updates
So when Neufeld is healthy again. What do we do with him?

[MERGED] Chris Walby Interview and Injuries
Some interesting stuff. Especially about Cal Murphy and Chris' injuries and how they were handled back then compared to today. http://3downnation.com/2015/07/13/sitting-down-with-chris-walby/

How good is the Bomber's tackling?
I rewatched the game yesterday and noticed that once the rb broke thru the front four. Our tacklers were out of position and tackling from the side vs getting square with the rb and tackling from a much better vantage point. Out of position and misreading the play is usually the reason. Coaching should alleviate the problem somewhat but it's still up to the player to make the right play and tackle with correct technique.

It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...
I almost feel sorry for Rider fans.

Moving Chris Randle to SAM Was A Stroke of Genius
Hurl had 2 tackles last night while the Als rookie MLB had 11 tackles.

Moving Chris Randle to SAM Was A Stroke of Genius
Bass was better tonight. He made a few good plays and seemed to be in better position. I'm willing to give him more time. Hurl, seeing no improvement.

Rate Danny McManus's Scouting at this point
Note to Danny Mac: Find us a f'ing MLB right now.

Rate Danny McManus's Scouting at this point
My first example is that we have 3 lb's that can't play the position.

Rate Danny McManus's Scouting at this point
We're still looking for a #2 QB. When Danny Mac was brought on it was said that his mandate was to improve our QB depth thru recruiting. To date I'd say he's still looking.

O'Shea is Oh'Stubborn
O'Shea must ride a fine line between knee jerk reaction, which is what most fans want and slow and steady. Which is what the players like to see. The players want to know that they wont be pulled if they make a mistake or two. Two games in to the season is too early to make any rush judgements about a certain player. Especially if they're new to the team.

Rate Danny McManus's Scouting at this point
Here is something I posted a couple of days ago in another thread ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I said it just after we made our final cuts that I was less than impressed with the crop of new talent the scouting department supplied for training camp. The only areas where we improved our talent was by paying big bucks at free agency Recruiting hasn't really provided any great talent for our dline and lb's which are the two weak links on defence. Goveia was supposed to be this up and coming personnel guy from TO but I wonder if he was riding the coat tails of Jim Barker who is probably the best talent scout in the CFL. Danny MacManus was a great QB but I'm not sure about his scouting talents. He was mandated to improve our QB talent. Still looking I guess. Coaching is key but I have to give our coaches a bit of a pass as I think their dealing from a full deck.

CFL Week 2 Other Games - CGY at MTL / BC at OTT / TOR at SSK
I don't know if the stamps were out all night partying but that was not the stamps team that dominated the west last year and is expected to return to the grey cup this year. Not to take anything away from the Als but they didn't beat the real stamps. Wait till next week. Huff will have them back and firing on all cylinders.

Brian Brohm has ...
It was mind boggling why MB abandoned the run game as soon as Brohm came in to the game. You'd think that the run game might have produced a few first downs. Which would have been a confidence builder for Brohm but also the entire offence. It looked like MB panicked and felt like he needed to score right away. That was a poor coaching decision.

Brian Brohm has ...
If I could read MOS's mind. I think was trying to find out what Brohm could do if he had to start this week. Yanking him in the 4th would do nothing for his psyche plus the game was over by then anyway and why not leave him in so he could get more reps. I may be in the minority here but I'm not as sold on Marve as many of you are.

Good moves on the oline though, I will give them credit for that. The oline problems were fixed by opening the cheque during free agency. It wasn't recruiting. I'm not sure we can still use the cupboards were bare excuse anymore. They've had enough time to find a couple of linebackers. Hell Id rather have EJ Kuale at MLB than Hurl.

[MERGED] July 2 Game Thread (Depth Charts included)
Why would they bring Neufeld off the 6 game this week if they didn't plan on activating him?

What I was impressed with is that our DB's appeared to have a better handle on the new contact rules. Can't say the same thing for the Riders DB's. That I say is all about coaching.

Odds and Sods - Game 1 - Bombers at Riders
I'm not sure but I think we went two and out only once . That is key to winning the field position battle.

Ball? Marcus Ball, played for the Argos Apparently we were close to signing him before he signed with Carolina a short while ago. Ah yes...I remember now. Thanks Geebs

Odds and Sods - Game 1 - Bombers at Riders
I just hope Hurl doesn't turn in to this years version of EJ Kuale. O'Shea can be very stubborn with "his" guys.

Darian Durant Torn Achilles
Other than Drew Tate. I don't think there's another 2nd string QB in the league better than Glenn. I would have no problem riding out the rest of the season with him.
