  1. I didn't watch the game but understood that the flyers goalie stood on his head. Also understood that we were asleep for majority of the first. I don't know what's going on with this team but they need to figure out this power play and soon. It's costing them games now. And what has happened to the offense? Its completely dried up.
  2. Comrie deserved a better fate. He was a big reason why this wasn't a more lopsided score. Sarros as much as he sucked during the 4 Nations, played very well tonight. Win against the flyers on Saturday and start a new streak.
  3. Team looks disinterested. The shot total is also wrong for the Jets. I have no idea what classifies as a shot anymore.
  4. I am a little concerned about the power play. It's gone 0-12 lately and they add a five on three advantage tonight.
  5. No. Who is this guy? Is he new? When did he come into the league?
  6. Bullshit penalty call and corresponding goal is the difference. Hard to be upset with nine straight wins but this is still a winnable game.
  7. Given Pionks and Stanley's performance on Saturday evening, in St. Louis no less, I can't see Doug Armstrong eagerly working out a trade for them. Jets would have to pay a pretty penny for Schenn and Parayko. @HardCoreBlue yes Jackson would be the more applicable analogy.
  8. Great assessment. I also think that this team looked like a team that hadn't played in 2 weeks. So rust was also an issue there. I think we've beat the dead horse on Stanley long enough... I have come to the conclusion that Arneil and Stanley are actually Mike OShea and Jake Thomas in disguise. There is no other explanation. Prove me wrong!
  9. Pionk has been awful today. Stanley needs to get a one-way ticket out of Winnipeg
  10. And that's game over. St Louis has another pp.
  11. Pionk stick explodes .. and then promptly takes a dbl.minor. this is the game here.
  12. Fefe with a good play to Gabe and it's 2-1 Jets. St Louis doesn't have 10 shots yet. But they have had quality opportunities
  13. Amazing how much slower the game appears to be after watching the 4 nations. Crazy
  14. Great goal by Ehlers. And Stanley IQ leads to tying goal.
  15. Damnit... I meant nice work @TrueBlue4ever.
  16. Wow.. nice work @FrostyWinnipeg. although I will agree with the thread title. Way to Early. Jets need to win and win consistently. We can revisit this topic after Mid March
  17. I like the Olympics and IIHF handling of the anthems. The winning team anthem is played at the end of the game. In general I think the anthems at sporting events like NBA/NHL/CFL/NFL etc. are dumb. Don't get me wrong, I love belting out O Canada, but like others have mentioned, the teams are comprised of players from multiple nations. I think they should seriously consider removing them.
  18. I think it's been a fun tourney. Way better than the all-star game. Why Logan Thompson isn't the starting goalie for Canada is beyond me. Binnington like St. Louis are one hit wonders.
  19. Let's hope 55 scores tonight and becomes the franchise all time goals leader.
  20. Kupari gets screwed over. That's 100% a legit goal Call is overturned. We have a goal!
