  1. I’m hoping this is the week where Augustine becomes the number one. Again the guy with his speed just creates something on every carry, got to get him more involved he only had 7 carries compared to Oliveria’s 14, should be the other way around.
  2. K.Carey essentially any running back that plays against EE should be a safe bet.
  3. 0-2 you can take that to the bank
  4. I knew once I saw that interview the Redblacks were going to lose. I said to my girl friend can you imagine a Coach O’shea led team ever say that? Anyways looks good on them. 0-2 is 0-2.
  5. Nichols has to get a star he was outstanding tonight, thought we did a better job of getting to Masoli tonight, having a good effort from Jeffcoat coming back from injury helped. Really liking Schoen, I think as he develops chemistry with Collaros he could become our go to guy down the stretch, They need to find a way to get Demski involved more, he had a really great effort to take a negative play and break it off into a 8-9 yard run. I also thought Kolonkowski did an admirable job filling in for Couture when he went down.
  6. Yeah most teams don’t sleep walk through to a championship. Last years squad was one of the most dominating teams arguably in history. Give credit where credit is due Ottawa came out to play both weeks, they spent a lot of money on some decent players who are hungry to make an impact, ultimately 2-0 is 2-0, there’s no reason to believe some of our guys won’t get better as time goes by.
  7. Gotta make Ottawa pay here. We need 7
  8. Exactly for someone who played the game his football knowledge is horrendous.
  9. Holy **** great block from Oliveria! Something that doesn’t show up on the stat sheet.
  10. It was the perfect hit, still holds up because of the placement of the hit and how it wasn’t made too early or too late just perfect enough so that Woodcock wouldn’t make the catch.
  11. Anyways I decided after going out with a few friends to watch game one of the Stanley Cup finals and drinking too much to take a break from alcohol for a bit. I normally do a sober February and I always feel great about myself, so I’m going to try to abstain from alcohol for a little bit this summer, very few bomber games have been watched sober so looking forward to it and maybe seeing things in a slightly different light tonight!
  12. Are you sure we only ever wore them once? I was at that game so I remember it pretty well. I thought we wore them once or twice more that season then retired them for the current jersey we wear today.
  13. Looks like they’re going to debut their new colour rush alternative jersey August the 11th against Montreal. Curious to see how those things look in the field.
  14. Yeah I was obviously talking out of my ass, admittedly I haven’t heard of anything to do regarding this promo, so when I heard white out I only assumed it was to do with the Jets. My bad.
  15. What’s wrong with wearing white for one game? A cool homage to the Winnipeg Jets, I like when teams in the community support each other. Seems like a weird hill to die on, almost like TBERGS when he’s fist pumping that there was no flag called on the Schoen and Colloras hit.
  16. Probably it’s inconsistency on player safety, and discipline when you allow guys like Lawrence to go around injuring people every year without much repercussions.
  17. Yeah I think our secondary will be fine but you won’t see it dialed in until Alexander returns. He just such such a safety blanket out there, no pun intended.
  18. Ultimately it doesn’t matter he was fumbling and in a vulnerable position there was no need to target the head, that’s a 15 yard penalty in today’s game, I’ve seen a lot less called for the exact same thing. Like it or not player safety is a big focus.
  19. This is good news, Jefferson was outstanding in game one but didn’t seem like we got the same push we normally do from the other guys so having Jeffcoat back to get at Masoli will be huge.
  20. I’m not talking about Collaros. In fact even though it’s normally called on QB’s I could live with out the penalty because at least he was on the way down and it looked accidental. However the Ottawa defender led with his head, Shoen had his neck exposed looking down as he was lost the ball the the defender decided to light him up, to me that’s a clear and cut 15 yard un necessary roughness penalty at the very least not to mention he’s a punk for leading with his helmet anyways, you’re taught at a young age not to use your head in tackling so I’m not sure why you’re trying to argue about this.
  21. I’m hoping maybe we can get Augustine some more touches this game. With his speed it could definitely benefit us, especially with our o-line taking some time to gel and play up to their high standards.
  22. I don’t know why you keep on dying on this hill the defender decided to use his helmet to target a defense less receiver and hit him helmet to helmet, he was already losing control of the ball when the first tackler bumped him, there was no need to target the head, these hits have been called pretty consistently for the last several years in both the NFL and the CFL. Like it or not this isn’t the 80’s or 90’s player safety is important and reckless hits have no part in the game.
  23. I have one strike! I wasn’t listed… but I’ll go with Jamal Morrow.
  24. No his head was exposed and the DB made the decision to lead with his helmet on a defenseless receiver. The worst hit of the night in my opinion at least with Collaros he was on his way down, this was a targeted attempt.
  25. Yep I love the CFL but in the NFL both would have been callled because they know how to protect their players.
