Blue-urns reacted to SpeedFlex27 in Cats at Bombers GDTDefenses all across the league have struggled this season. Fans should be happy with all then passing yards put up & the points scored.

Blue-urns reacted to Booch in Cats at Bombers GDTI'm not talking bout now...season is early....I talking season end and if we fall on our face...have less wins than last yr....miss playoffs....and have some same issues/concerns that killed us last yr....That be 5 yrs of successive decline, and with adding the best available oline and dline guys, a top Canadian receiver and a top Import playmaker, while dumping some dead wood....no reason for it...it's time
Once Clercius is healthy...Eli...Dixon...Woodbey....and then how we retool the current lineup thats when more scrutiny can be involved...too early....yet
But if we do worse than last yr I hope we eat that salary and cut ties...

Blue-urns reacted to Mike in Cats at Bombers GDTThis is Jason Hogan erasure and I will not stand for it
-
Blue-urns reacted to Booch in Cats at Bombers GDTTRUE...but we also trending down for 4 straight...wins....placement in standings...playoff success....a 5th yr of continuation this yr...when do you say enough is enough?
-
Blue-urns reacted to rebusrankin in Cats at Bombers GDTWe've won 10+ games 9 straight years, longest streak in club history. Sure its been frustrating the last year or so but this is not the Reinbold or Daley eras.

Blue-urns reacted to Booch in Cats at Bombers GDTI look at it as...We went from a struggling group first couple seasons...Got loaded with talent in prime...won 2 cups....Bet the farm on the same roster....lost a Cup...More of retaining and then starting some bad decisions...went to 2 more cups but lost basically from our own doing....Didn't learn from the past...didn't use foresight and assess our roster and it's weaknesses and basically stood status quo.... decreasing wins each season since 2022 and barely squeaked into playoffs, and got punted out in first round
Seemed to shift gears this off-season tho..and actually brought in guys to replace some the 3 yr running dead weight, and also finally hired some guys from outside the organization....Condell...Hull....Addison so this is all good
But we kinda seeing some of the same coming back into play, and of this season ends either with less wins...having to cross over to make playoffs or being a sub .500 team and not even getting to them...Then thats 5 yrs into a downward trend...spiral and we need to nip it in the bud and the place to do it is HC....That is a sustained trend in wrong direction anyway u slice it, and if it's kinda a result of a lot of the same crap...why stay the course??

Blue-urns reacted to JuranBoldenRules in Cats at Bombers GDTLet's just gain some perspective here in that we're talking about a 12-14 win team becoming a 8-10 win team.
Between 95 and 2015 we won 10 games twice, 11 games once, 12 games once and 14 games once.

Blue-urns reacted to Booch in Cats at Bombers GDTas it generally goes in football...tried true and finite...a HC will usually can a coordinator when things go down the pooper to try and save his own hiney...and when that doesn't work...The G.M has to take do his job and can the HC he signed...That's his mulligan and his chance to right a ship....and if/when that turns into more the same lack of success, or even becomes worse and you still have a listing/sinking ship....He is next to go and house is cleaned....Especially when it starts to effect the bottom line. Pretty rare...almost never happens that a G.M is axed for a team failing to live up to expectations...or see success and a HC is retained for the new GM...Good luck finding any G.M worth spit willing to walk into that situation.
And to be frank would never wanna be a part of any organization where it's done in reverse....as its a sure sign the dynamics of the hierarchy are way outta whack and just a place that's not gonna succeed until all all purged...We didn't hit that Ottawa Renegades/Gleiberman era of nonsense but jury still out so far on this season and what we are in for...there been some real good signs in some aspects...but some of the issues that really handcuffed and handicapped us are slowly seeping back into the forefront whether some here don't wanna believe it...or don't see it
I still think we made the right move in giving Walter's a new deal and he stepped up, but do think the Osh time was up and we needed to move on...no coach stays in one place forever and 14 yrs in football is an eternity and ultra rare.
I still giving benefit of doubt...the season is hardly started and there are a lot of positives so far...but if we fall on our face again...miss play-offs and some of it can be directly related to a lot of the same ol same ol....and a a refusal all yr to utilize league wide rules that only we re-buff...time to snip snippity snip

Blue-urns reacted to GCn20 in Cats at Bombers GDTBy that logic the ultimate responsibility for the roster construction is KWs. If he has a coach exhibiting flaws he is responsible for correcting it.
-
Blue-urns reacted to Booch in Cats at Bombers GDTBasically...exactly..just way it is...as at end of day its his ass on the line and he has to answer to, and be responsible for end result...

Blue-urns reacted to SpeedFlex27 in Cats at Bombers GDTWe've had this discussion before. with you or others, I can't remember. A coaching staff is not a democracy. It's collaborative to a point. However, the Head Coach has final say in everything from play calling & schemes to personnel on the field. If Osh says no on any subjecy then the discussion is over. Yes, the D is on Younger responsibility but he still answers to Osh. If the HC wants to make changes like changing coordinators, simplifying the schemes or cutiing players then he will do it as he has that authority. Whether anyone disagrees or not.

Blue-urns reacted to wbbfan in Cats at Bombers GDTnone of those guys played under mos

Blue-urns reacted to Tracker in Cats at Bombers GDTNot sure if I would use "great" to describe Collaros' performance but it was certainly enough to win if we had an even mediocre effort by the defence. It seems obvious that his arm is not what it has been, but with a decent supporting cast, we ought to be competitive.
-
Blue-urns reacted to SpeedFlex27 in Als and argo GDTWe get rid of Wheatfall & Stearns but we don't sign two players to replace them. That sure seems to be the way the team conducts its free agency. Even keeping one of those 2 around would have made a difference. Or spending the money on another starting receiver that was available in free agency but instead we chose not to. All I know is we have a starting boundary receiver with 26 receptions for 385 career yards & just 2 TDs receiving before this season started . When I see those Wheatfall & Stearns playing very well elsewhere all it tells me that in the coaches meetings last season, we had Hogan telling O'Shea & everyone else in that room that it wasn't subpar coaching that made them play at such a craptacular level. It was the players fault.
-
Blue-urns reacted to Tracker in Als and argo GDTIt seems to me that the whole game is being played better and at a much higher tempo than either of the two games the Bombers have played so far.
-
Blue-urns reacted to Super Duper Negatron in Als and argo GDTI can't help but think both of these offenses would rip us a new one.
-
Blue-urns reacted to JohnnyAbonny in Als and argo GDTI’d have to agree. Alexander strikes me as a bit of a knob, but I’ll still pull for him over a garbage human like Chad Kelly.
-
Blue-urns reacted to Tracker in Als and argo GDTChad Kelly is despicable, but watching him and Alexander chucking footballs effortlessly and accurately reminds me that Collaros is approaching the limit of his shelf life rapidly.
-
Blue-urns reacted to wbbfan in 2026 Bombers SeasonThat would be a huge advantage for us imo
-
Blue-urns reacted to Noeller in 2026 Bombers SeasonI mean, it's OBVIOUSLY this... Vaval is a good cover guy, but if he gets hurt and we lose him for returns, that f**** us too.
-
Blue-urns reacted to rebusrankin in 2026 Bombers SeasonHamilton doesn't have much of a run game and seems to rely on BLM to Lawler and K.Smith, so a beefed up pass rush seems wise.
-
Blue-urns reacted to wbbfan in 2026 Bombers SeasonSmith was more pro-ready, Shay had more upside because he has played S and could play Wil with minimal need to sub for a dime.
We are trying to shoehorn Shay at Sam, and it's not going great.
-
Blue-urns reacted to Mike in 2026 Bombers SeasonWho is our “young” core?
Demski, White, Brady, Neuf, Bryant, Eli, Broxton, Willie, Ceresna, Jones, Kyrie, Nichols, Moxey, Sergio … all of these guys are closer to the end than the beginning and creeping up in age. I know 30 isn’t what it used to be in sports, but we don’t have a ton of young guys at all. We’ve got a couple.
-
Blue-urns reacted to JohnnyAbonny in Bombers at Stamps GDTI will always be stoked anytime they win a game in that stadium.
I know it’s been better in recent years, but I mean they went 12 years between wins in Calgary at one point and if I’m correct (2002-2019) 17 seasons between winning games there that actually mattered to both teams (2014 and 17 were last week of the season with no stakes for the Stampeders)
Wins at McMahon are to be savoured.

Blue-urns reacted to wbbfan in Bombers at Stamps GDTvery entertaining game, much better then you usually see in week 1.
