Weird, I feel like Lowry has been pretty decent, gritting it out in front of the net. Armia looks good but doesn't always seem to be paying attention. Copp has not been great from what I've seen. Burmi looking a lot better than I gave him credit for. Think Olsen will be the first call up. Its pre-season...

Today was mostly dedicated to special teams. And it was a short practice, only 70 minutes total. Pretty much sums up the problem...

Crompton is an average QB with an OC that called a simple game to help his QB win. Nichols is an average QB with an OC who forces all his QBs into being a pocket passer. Broken record alert: Bellefuile just falls into this 'defensive' mode of playcalling, always has... his plays develop slow because (imo) he creates option plays that really try to deal with every conceivable defence... tries to cover too many possibilities. When he opens up, he's a good OC... but with an average or young QB, the 'safest' options always end up as hitch, hook or draw YAC is critical for this team - looks like everyone is just sick of getting ****-canned for a few extra yards.

Today wasn't MB's fault. Today was on the players. Sure the receivers didn't help but did you watch the play calling. MB doesn't get a mulligan just because the players played like their OC. Utter crap. I thought the play calling was fine today. Problem was the players. The players couldn't execute, made too many mistakes. I do think there's a leadership problem. Watch the game again... bombers biggest gains were on broken plays or second effort by Marshall. Teams are waiting for the Denmark fly and the hitch screen. They know that MB doesn't move the pocket. Keep building the pressure as the game progresses and the bombers will break.

Walters, Osh and Tracey will be reunited at Guelph next year... maybe Etch too!

OC and HC's job is to game plan and get the players to buy in. Players are not buying into this offence... they are on the defence. That is the definition of coaching.

Walters stuck with status quo Very thin at import receiver and import running back... these are relatively easy positions to scout Lin-J Shell, Walker, Kuale, Korey Banks... weak. Do his big name signings outweigh the stinkers? I'd say its even. Edit: Oh man, I forgot Romby, Aaron Kelly, Donovan Alexander... League's garbage heap right there

Never thought I'd join the fire Oshea bandwagon... but after reports of the team joking around at practice this year, Osh personally taking control of ST and a complete lack of focus by the team for much of the game... not much choice. Richie Hall HC, Miles as DC, Howell as OC, bring in Cvet or one of Cvet's Pets as ST coach... can't be worse than what we've got.

Bombers will gladly release him from his contract to save paying him out after he's fired. Go use your CIS knowledge there.
