Again - that's why the Bryant thing is strange... same logic applied to Bryant should apply to Harris - especially with Oliviera and Augstine chomping at the bit

My point is that Marouf was league minimum and Thomas was not... they chose to give the starting dollars to Ekakitie and save by letting Thomas walk in the off-season I'm not arguing that we were moving on from Thomas - but no one actually stole is job... there was just more pressure to let our #1 pick succeed

Umm no... Esks offensive are all starters except Harris and Ellingson really... Not many teams sit their #1 OL in pre-season - OL is a different beast than the other positions... Hope it works but I feel like Streveler et al are going to be scrambling a lot tonight I'm also really ready to see Neufeld and Hardrick participate in training camp... ahem

Montreal and Ottawa actually look decent compared to Sask's NI starters... Ottawa is pretty deep at their designated NI positions - Kevin Francis can backup Pruneau I think... 3-4 NI DL that can rotate If Montreal needs to go NI at REC they are in trouble

I'm actually not arguing this point at all... but I've watched Hurl get inexplicably pencilled in and watched Osh play 8-9 CDNs when we don't really need to either... so I'll stick with a Thomas and Richardson or Bryant rotation on the roster for now...

Thomas sounds like he's getting more reps with the 1's than anyone else... that says more than anything... I'd rather see Bryant and Richardson but Thomas has definitely been a guy 'singled' out for praise by the coaches - guys who are not 'in favour' just don't get mentioned...

Bit of revisionist history I think... Ekakitie 'beat out' Thomas in the off-season - they gave the $$ pegged for Thomas to Faith... then when he was not in shape leading up to camp the Bombers brought Thomas back It was Thomas v. Ekakitie not Marouf...
