GDT-Stumps @ Bombers
Twice, Nichols looked directly at Whitehead - who was wide open 10-12 yards deep - but threw the check down to Harris instead. It was like Nichols didn't actually see Whitehead, or by the time it registered it was too late.

Matt Nichols Discredited Too Much? Passing Yards Are Meaningless
Coaches, even the most stubborn ones, can see this too. Matty must know he's on thin ice. How will he respond to the looming possibility of being replaced by Streveler as the starter? He will either continue to discombobulate or rise up and play better. Calgary will be a good test of his mental toughness.

Pregame talk: Patriots North come to town
Based on the last two games we are trending in the wrong direction and I don't like our chances. Lifetime we are 92 wins vs 111 losses against Stamps. O'Shea's record is 50W vs 45L as a head coach while Dickhead who disparages Canadians is 41W vs 11L with 3 Grey Cup appearances in a row. Even with BLM out and with Calgary probably having less talent than the Bombers overall, we seem to have significant deficits at HC QB and DC - and that will be our undoing. Stumps by 18.

Ottawa @ Montreal
That was an entertaining game. Adams, Pipkin, Davis - not perfection by a long shot but it's fun to watch some athleticism at the QB position. Other than AH rippin' it, watching the Bombers constantly go 2-out, 2-out is incredibly boring in comparison.

Game Day Thread- Bombers at Arblows
I doubt Lapo is calling those check-downs. That's Nichols unable to get through his reads and then ditching on the play.

Game Day Thread- Bombers at Arblows
IMHO the Miller-Walters-OShea braintrust doesn't have a great track record managing the QB position. They seem not to recognize when change is overdue. Goes back to Drew Willy, same thing.

Matt Nichols Discredited Too Much? Passing Yards Are Meaningless
It would be great if Bombers gave Streveler more playing time going forward. I think he'll get better with more real time reps. And let him run the entire O package - not just QB keepers and run options.

Matt Nichols Discredited Too Much? Passing Yards Are Meaningless
It's not coaching, Bombers have a problem at the QB position. I've been saying this since mid-2017. Lapo is coaching to Nichols strengths, scant as they may be. Imagine if Nichols had been starting for Toronto tonight and if Bethel Thompson had been starting for Winnipeg - do you think Argos would have won?

Matt Nichols Discredited Too Much? Passing Yards Are Meaningless
What does that tell us? Other than MOS is stubborn and loyal to a fault. We already know that.

Matt Nichols Discredited Too Much? Passing Yards Are Meaningless
We're going to lose Streveler next year if we don't start to groom him to start, now. How can they not see that?

Matt Nichols Discredited Too Much? Passing Yards Are Meaningless
The Bombers didn't play great but I blame Nichols for the loss mostly. His turnovers resulted in 10 points for Hamilton. We lost by 8.

Matt Nichols Discredited Too Much? Passing Yards Are Meaningless
Just out of curiosity, when was the last time Nichols engineered a come from behind win?

Hat guy vs Jerks Vol 2
Well he'll be starting somewhere else next year if we don't give him a chance to do that here. And that would be a real shame.

Hat guy vs Jerks Vol 2
I was disappointed we did not extend him this past off-season.

Game Day Thread: Week 7- Bombers @ Ticats, Clash of the Titans.Edition
I don't have much confidence that we can win any important games with Nichols at QB.

ALLCAPS @ Bombers game day
Deeply disappointed we gave up a single.

ALLCAPS @ Bombers game day
Crockett and Dedmon looked pretty good for the RBs in the pre-season - if Jennings is hot could be a close game. But I think Bombers are just going to get better and better! Go Blue!

3 stars plus hh arrblloowwwss
O'Shea had words with the officials after Harris had is pot lifted the first time by Argos. That's 3 times in the past two games Harris has had his helmet yanked. Dangerous play.

Argos at Bombers - Game Day
Yes, I saw that Briggs had his left arm in a sling. I noticed John Rush got nicked too, didn't mention him in the earlier post. Harris seemed no worse for the wear but he certainly had to walk off a few stings during the game. I really wonder why Augustine didn't play at all until the final 2 mins. He's another guy who could benefit from reps and take the load off Harris. It seems like the game plan was to spread the ball carry load around a bit by giving the ball to Demski. But that didn't really work as well as the sweeps to Whitehead. But we had 189 yds rushing and 239 passing - nicely balanced attack.

Argos at Bombers - Game Day
I just knew Bombers would dominate the moment former Bombers DB #22 Don Burrell raised the 13th Man flag before kickoff! Great Game! 4-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's hoping that Hecht Briggs Hardrick Bighill and Matthews are back next week vs Redblacks.

Argos at Bombers - Game Day
Wearing my #14 jersey to the game ... so expecting Marcus Sayles to have a big night and a major role in Bombers victory. (Last time wore #22 jersey and Fenner gassed it) lol

Next Up - Toronto Comes To Town For Friday Night Football - Sellout IGF
Bailey was practicing today by the look of it. Harris/Demski should have a good game running vs Argos. They've given up over 140 yds per game on the ground. Meantime, Bombers D has been spectacular stuffing the run. Average against: 42.7 yds per game.
