Bombers Off-Season Transactions
Sure ive been wrong many times before and will be wrong many times again. I've also been right many times before and will be correct again many more times. What's your point? Not to mention, you said that Garrett Waggoner was a good pick, so who knows about anything you say right?

Richards is worse than Etienne. How people here are still sticking up for him I just don't understand.

Waggoner is a mediocre player and is no big loss. How bad of a selection that was has really gone under the radar around here.

Yup. I loved Kohlert when he was picked in the expansion draft by Ottawa and chose to re-sign here, but he was absolutely dreadful this year.

Hard Analysis: Is this THE year?
We've seen Ray struggle for an extended period of time in Edmonton, and that's when he was still in his prime.

CFL Draft
Judge reminds me of Waggoner, in theory he can play multiple posistions, but in actuality he'll be a career backup no matter where you try to play him.

CFL Draft
It would've been nice to go after Vandervoort, and I feel like picking Gray in the first was still a bit of a reach. I'm not overly impressed by the Conteh pick in the third round - he's nothing like Loffler, a guy who lives and breathes football. Having played with Abu, although I'm sure he's changed since, he was never a guy who was really committed to football. He used to skip football games to avoid being banged up for basketball games. I can't say that I feel like we did very good today, it was a sadly predictable draft, but that isn't a good thing this time.

CFL Draft
Agreed, but I might just be saying that as I like how that mock draft turned out for the Bombers. We'd regret passing on Danny Vandervoort.

At Trestman's age it may be consistently tough to keep his Willy upright if it comes to that.

Ryan Smith to retire
I thought Mayo and agree he was the best of the bunch. But still, it's absurd say that all of our import receivers did good last year. We played a lot of duds.

Ryan Smith to retire
Pretty much everyone we dressed sans Denmark while Adams, Dressler and Smith were all hurt was unproductive. We also haven't recruited one single decent receiver with Walters as GM.

Ryan Smith to retire
Considering he was cut in camp last year... probably not?

CFL Combine
I played with him for many years, he always reminded me of Doug Brown.

To me, Danny Vandervoort is the best player in the draft, and also fills a need. He'd be as good a pick as anyone first overall.

Agreed. I'm not buying that one at all.

This guy has being our next Kuale or Romby written all over him.

CFL Combine
Not a chance the Lions even consider that trade unless we're adding our second and/or third round picks into the mix.

Highly highly unlikely.

We should've let Hurl walk then we'd have the cap space to sign Miles.

I'd be ashamed to compare a stud like Scheif to a guy like Richards.

Alex Vitt is a better player than Richards and got cut for not being able to stay on the field. Richards only still has a job because he was a 2nd round pick.

Calvillo was considered a guy who choked in big games and on the downside of his career before Trestman came there. I wouldn't be so quick to take credit away from Trestman.

Richards was a bad pick. Why can't people just admit that? We come off like Rider fans when we defend obvious bad moves.

Maybe drafting good PEOPLE ahead of good FOOTBALL players, when you're getting paid to play FOOTBALL isn't the greatest plan.

Richards is awful and had no business being picked over LeMar Durant. Guys like Poblah and even Etienne couldn't stay in the league, and they're far better players than Richards.
