I find it amusing how people speculate and rationalize how games are won and lost....or should have been won. There are no pictures on the scorecard only Ws and Ls....how you get them isn’t relevant to the final outcome. Football is a combination of 4 factors, O, D, ST and Turnovers. Any combination of those things can result in a win or loss.

Interesting.....so you didn’t have a QB that could complete a pass....didn’t get near the Grey Cup.....and with status quo moving into the next season....this was going to change? How exactly? And this path continues how much longer? I didn’t say the marketing department runs the football team.....the marketing department is left to market the team based on the actions or inactions of the football team.

Let me share some insight from an NBA marketing executive who gave a talk at a CFL marketing meeting: Never call it a rebuild....a 2yr retool is what fans expect....MOS did an admirable job retooling in 2 yrs....then what in 4 yrs 1 playoff win A sports franchise marketing strategy is predicated on “selling hope” to fans. There is only a 50% win/loss proposition. If this team continues to falter down the stretch....what are you using as your “Hope” sales pitch to fans? A management strategy based on the premise of I don’t make a decision to make changes moving forward, I won’t make the wrong decision....is a failed strategy in business and in sport. So those of you touting “patience”..... what exactly is your time line and management strategy moving forward?

And if we continue with this element of patience....we will all be patient. It’s ironic we have endured 6 seasons of this rebuild re tool and people want to fire Campbell, Chamblin, Maas and Claybrookes and think nothing of that.....we have one playoff win...there are some Cup winners in that group of “rejects”

He poops the bed after 6 games and then what. A) you owe for a year plus and then who is on the staff to promote to HC?

Given the historic offence struggles this team has demonstrated how can anyone think there is justification PROMOTING LaPo to HC. Can anyone explain the logic of that?

After the Mack disaster.....3/4 of the people of this site could have rebuilt this team....but ultimately it is about can you take the team to the next level?

Like it or not ...agree or not coaches have a shelf life in all sports. Cal Murphy had passed his best before date....others have and it will continue to happen.

The challenge is not only having a good starting QB...it is also supplying your coaching staff depth across the roster and especially depth at QB.....and if you haven’t Got it you better figure out how to get it. That is the difference between being proactive and reactive. Did Sask and Hamilton just luck out st QB depth...maybe but the fact is they had it.

I don’t care who’s decision it was the sad part was it took how many Hecht games to figure it out.

That statement has no consideration for Alexander at safety vs Hecht at safety. You want to make a comparison you need a sample that includes Hall calling the defence with Alexander at safety.

Was the defence better in the last game due to Hall’s absence? Perhaps the bigger influence was having someone play safety that could actually make plays. My vote is a REAL Safety.

If you want another sample pull up 2011 and the decline that year...great start and then fade. Teams watch hours of video and game plan against predicable play calling.

Can we now revise that in terms of playoff wins vs everyone else?

While I appreciate all the love for MOS.....but it isn’t clear to me how one playoff win in his tenure here makes him such a hot commodity? This is a result based BUSINESS.
