Part of any coaches element of success, be it assistant or HC is to put himself in a situation and organization that will provide him with the best chance to be successful. Numerous coaches have been good but not been successful because of a poor environment

What do you think the price tag was for Tresman and Popp.? Bauer wanted to hire Hufnagel when he left the NFL and the BoD wouldn't authorize that kind of salary. The bottom line is you get what you are willing to pay for. Plain and simple.

Wins and loses are certainly a significant factor in coaches getting fired but other factors also enter into play. Philosophical differences, people's ability to fit into the overall dynamics of an organization. Some of the same internal mechanics of a successful business structure certainly apply in a successful professional sports franchise.

Dave Ritchie was relieved because he had a heart condition.....his health was in jeopardy and he wouldn't step down for his own good. Doug Berry may have been a good assistance coach but as a Head Coach he had challenges relating to both his staff and the players, the team was dysfunctional under his direction.

The difference was that AC was like Willy was in his last year in the Peg. They were both gun shy and and playing scared. Not qualities you want in your QB. Ray, has taken some hits for sure but he didn't appear to be trying to chuck and duck. It will be interesting to see what he decides to do.

Well if choking is what making it to the Cup for the last 2 years then they will probably be happy to gag there way in for 3 in a row.

They fielded a team with an inadequate MLB and that was a disaster. The cliche that defences win championships seems to have some merit. Calgary has consistently managed to play with 3 nationals on the o line and done it repeatedly while substituting for injuries.....and also done it with an o line coach that got run out of the Peg as well.

Thank you for that J5V. It often seem that no decision becomes what people deem the safe decision and not necessarily the smartest. It can paralyze a team , an organization or a company.

The nationality of any player a side the issue still remains is said player good enough to be a starter and be an effective player? You can't have a sub par player playing MLB. The ratio is a critical element of the CFL that all teams must maneuver around. I am not sure that 3 internationals on the O line is the best way to start. Other teams seem to manage with 3 nationals on the o line. And only use 2 when forced to by injury. Heaven forbid if Harris got hurt and his replacement had to be an international. This team continues to struggle to find players, have adequate depth at critical positions and have good depth with nationals. Blame who you want....it is a failing of the organization.

Curious as to what y'all might do if in fact Hall doesn't get gunned?

Show me a pro player who doesn't think he is better than the next guy and he's someone you probably don't want on your team. Confidence and mental toughness is a critical part of the game

Assuming that replacing Hall is the sole solution to the success of this team is perhaps a little naive .

Unfair....to the fans. You brought the guy in and paid him to be a starter.....you have continually proven that he is not and will never be a legitimate MLB. Yes again they prove the definition of "crazy".... With the same results.....so what should happen it history does repeat itself......?

The 500 yds is meaningless......280 yds of it was in the 4 th quarter down by 23 points ...... Where were those yds when it mattered to the outcome of the game?

Setting a record with garbage yards when the outcome of the game has been determined is meaningless. The score was flattering.....

Coaching....scouting.....lack of depth......a meriate of contributing factors......Assistant Coaches....are given players that they have to use.....Be it the HC....GM....or Personnel Dept.....the staff is an their mercy.....there fate is determined by them....the crap rolls down hill and the lower ranks on the staff get to swallow the sword first. Miller gets to fire....the GM....or tells the GM who to fire. So often those that are most responsible get to dodge the bullet.....for now at least. So Blame the DC...sure....zero offensive TDs in 3 games? A complex situation....with no singular solution.

If your D front can't pressure the QB....who's fault? If the MLB is told by the HC that his job is to eat blockers....who's fault If DBs blow deep cover on a 3 deep zone......who's fault Poor depth....who's fault...... good players make good coaches great.....poor players get good coaches fired.......

There doesn't appear to be much discussion about the lack of production of offensive TDs......red zone TD production was not good......resulting opinion FGs and not TDs. Guessing that too is Hall's fault.
