Sheets pleads guilty to possession of weed
The original article states he acted impaired on the scene (or something along those lines). Regardless it will be of his record in a year (ish).

Sheets pleads guilty to possession of weed
So did anyone actually read the article? He was granted an absolute discharge. From http://www.pardons.org/pardons-canada-an-absolute-discharge-does-not-mean-not-guilty/

Sheets pleads guilty to possession of weed
#1 - Anyone who says driving stoned is completely fine is kidding themselves. I actually would probably liken it to driving very tired. Not to mention, like alcohol, it affects everyone differently. #2 - The states has always been hard on marijuana use in athletes, or drug testing for regular old joes as well. I know I wouldn't risk it... #3 - What you do in your own home, fine. It is much more common than people realize. #4 - After the DUI, and the assault charges... Sheets is just a shady character. Good riddance.

Grocers and the Organic 'Revolution'
LOL - every time I post that story on an internet forum, some angry Vegan bozo responds with crap like this. So you are saying that pale skinny vegan kid who had no energy was just a figment of my buddy's imagination? What a joke. Hey, I am sure there are healthy vegan people somewhere, and even healthy vegan kids, but the adults have to be very careful to ensure those growing kids still get all of the nutrients they need, and I'm sorry but eating a few carrots and a hamburger bun isn't going to do it for a 12 year old boy. They need a lot of calories and protein. And if you don't know what you are doing, and just following some kind of stupid fad to sound cool to your fellow Vegan pals and Yuppie buds then you need to actually do the work so you don't hurt your kids and stunt their growth. That's all I am saying. I do have to say, the most athletic people I know (2 boxers, 1 bodybuilder) are vegan/vegetarian. It's definitely the people who don't know what they're doing that's the problem.

Grocers and the Organic 'Revolution'
I could add that there have been other health benefits not mentioned, such as consistent blood test readings, less coughing and a general turn away from unhealthy eating, and now that you mention it…more power, so I can't offer that as proof, more so dietary choices, but I can safely say that watching what I eat before it goes in, definitely works for us as things turn out. It has not been a one week turn around for us, more so a delving into and learning experience over the last 3 and a 1/2 years. It probably started upon moving here and the close proximity to a farmer's market that is walking distance to our place. So, it has evolved slowly, kinda like the Bomber offence. Damn you and your delicious Okanagan Valley!!!! Problem is, how do you know what "organic" really entails? Anything in stores is still mass produced. Finding a local farmer (mine in stonewall was fantastic with a nice variety of veg) is your best bet. So, TSN...

Grocers and the Organic 'Revolution'
Sobey's just bought Safeway last year, takes a long time for the changeover. The Safeway unions are just in discussions now; after that, they'll probably start to change. Here in Calgary, are there even any Sobey's? I can't remember seeing one.

TSN GO
Is there now a benefit where you can at least stream all TSN channels IF you have one of the specific providers? Damn, I haven't had tv for a while now. The positive? Hopefully now it's easier for others to stream via other sites like stream2watch etc...

Officials to be made available after games?
I DO think this may be helpful when the average fan has no idea about the actual rules.

Allouettes neg list Terrelle Pryor
I just want to say, I didn't see the last name and thought Owens? First Ocho, now Owens?! Thank god...

Paul Maurice signs 4 year deal
I like that he even say they can't get to the level he wants in a year, it'll probably take two. I do like they were much more consistent under his leadership, and they seemed to respond well to him.

BC Lions release Joey Elliot
Wait, did ISO just use a slang term to which SOMEONE else said they should be young enough to get? I think the world may be ending...

Bob Wylie to be new O-Line coach - Confirmed
There's no way anyone can NOT like this hire. I feel like it would be hard for the OL NOT to improve with coaching. You can improve strength, you can improve technique, and you can improve footwork.

BC Lions release Joey Elliot
Wait... are we really debating which mediocre qb is less mediocre? I'd rather they bring in an untested QB who has less experience and more upside. You know what you get with Elliott, and I don't want it.

Bombers to host 2015 Grey Cup
For Rider fans.... for everyone else who couldn't afford to go....

Kevin Glenn has requested a trade
Those are some acute observations right there... There's nothing cute or acute about a Rider fan... Tell me about it, I LIVE with one....

Pass Interference Calls…Challenges Ahead?
I believe the point that people were trying to make is that it's a slippery slope and how long before they have to add more challenges because the refs are missing so many calls? I... guess you can argue that. I don't think this will be the far from the end of the world if it goes through, and it's not such a slippery slope as you all think it is. *shrug*

Pass Interference Calls…Challenges Ahead?
So when a running back breaks off a 40 yard run that is brought back cuz of a phantom hold, that's not a drastic play?? Also, since when is holding the "most obvious call to make"? Holding is probably the most subjective call that exists in football... you could argue there's holding by any lineman on almost every play... Penalties should never be review-able, it just opens up a huge can of worms.... Like I said previously, train the officials better and accept the fact that human error will always exist no matter how well trained they are It's the BLATANTLY obvious holds that get called. And I call BS on the fact that 40 yard runs are not often the result of a hold on a defender. Point #1 still stands. Even if they DID allow challenges of holds, there would be no more challenges than without the review of PI / holding - NO MORE challenges are getting added. The most this would affect the game is four challenges per game. MAXIMUM six if by some fluke they both win both the first ones.
-
Pass Interference Calls…Challenges Ahead?
#1 - It would not slow the game down any more than challenges do now They don't get "extra" challenges now because of this. You don't have any challenges or timeouts left #2 - Difference between holding and PI is that PI can drastically change field position by 40, 50, 60 yards. Not to mention holding is probably the most obvious call to make. I agree that PI is called differently game by game, which is why this in particular is such a huge issue. Maybe this would get help get some consistency?

Bombers trade for QB Brian Brohm; cut Justin Goltz
You want Jyles back then? Seeing as the year with Winnipeg was his only one with a positive TD:INT ratio, clearly not.
-
Bombers trade for QB Brian Brohm; cut Justin Goltz
While I could care less about stats... just once... I want a starting QB with more TD's than INTs....

Vince Le To Get Unescorted Leaves
I can see that. I can see both sides... but in the end, I think mental health professionals are the most qualified to make that decision. I do know I am likely in the **minority** after seeing the surprise/outrage in the past few days since the story broke. - changed majority to minority because I'm an idiot.

Buck Pierce set to announce retirement today
I agree, otherwise I'm sure he'd be released.
