Ring of Honour discussions are hard, because it is the highest honour. Not making it isn't an insult, you need to be the top of the top and have had team success.
We can't put every talented role player up there. And I also don't love the idea of guys who have only played for the Bombers for 2ish seasons - especially if they've had long careers for other teams.
Bryant is the only player who could retire tomorrow and has already done enough, imo.

DM can suck it. Just looking at the guy irritates me. I thought we were rid of him when he finally left Edmonton. Not so lucky.

It's less than five hours until gametime. Early would be 6am, right? Cause I was definitely sober at 6am.

One of few specific games that I remember attending. The one and only game that I went to with my wife and late mother-in-law. I remember everyone leaving early, and us sticking around and being very glad that we did. Crazy game.

I don’t think it’s too ridiculous to expect that a signing bonus be returned if a player can’t even be bothered to ever report to the team.

that being said, rules are rules and this will be a major sticking point come next fall when the PA will no doubt not be thrilled with the fallout this caused. Durant may have helped himself but he just effed many others.

With Do or Die going all "Dante's Peak" on us for the next month, I thought I'd do what I do best and plagiarize someone else's great work and give this O & S a try in his absence (hope no one takes offence, 'tis easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission in my experience). So here goes:

I crack the lid on some Crown Royal and raise a toast to Do or Die (not a gin guy, sorry)....
And the Bombers trek to the City of Champions gift high draft choices, trying to sweep the Esks for the first time since the Kevin Glenn 1.0 era.......
But get off to a slow start, feeding Flanders and resting Harris.....
Winning the field position battle on punts sets up a 54 yard FG....but the ever reliable "Lock" registers a rare miss.....
Edmonton sacrifices field position to deny the single point, giving "Mr. Automatic" a second crack closer in....
But that drives straight and true on the over-correction to the outside of the opposite post, Justin 0/2 and still scoreless...
Early pressure by the Bomber front causes another sack, and another bad punt by Edmonton, kickers having a quarter to forget....
But Fogg's big return sets  up the Bombers to march in for points, looks promising as Feioli-Gudino makes a nice catch in traffic....
And then bounces off a tackle...before pinwheeling and fumbling on the second hit, causing a turnover......and an injury
Bombers' three trips in Edmonton territory have yielded nothing, can't afford to give away points and win in Commonwealth...
Fortunately, Reilly likes this "2 and out" style of offence, and O'Neill is punting like a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest...
Nicholls ducks into a sack and earns a roughing the passer helmet shot...but only because of a burned challenge to correct an obvious miss...
So Medlock FG again from convert range, and WTH another miss??????????? His first 3 miss game ever leaves us up 1-0 in a shockingly defensive battle.
Edmonton tests their running game with Van reeling off big plays....but the kicking woes continue as "Patrick" Swazye Waters dings one off the post
Bombers finally remember they have Andrew Harris, who responds with 3 big plays to march us down the field....
Until he pounces on a fumble and gets kneed in the back for his troubles, when a penalty makes it a moot play....
And Nicholls hits Denmark with seconds left to finally produce a score, Bombers pitch a first half shutout, up 8-0.
Eskimos make adjustments and put up a quick score, but Reilly can't throw the 2 point try with Sam Hurl wrestling him like a steer....8-6
Bombers really swarming to the ball on the short swing passes, and sure tackling this week...a refreshing change.
Esks punting is truly atrocious, Bombers owning the field position battle, but little to show so far.
Textbook stop and go route by Adams, and pinpoint accuracy by Nicholls on the pass sets up Andrew Harris...
Who is making the most of every touch and punches in a response TD, Bombers up 15-6...
Edmonton rides the Van down the field, but he goes out with a knee injury and the drive stalls...FG, 15-9 as we hit the 4th quarter
With Andrew Harris now fully in control of the offence, and another perfectly placed pass by Nicholls to Adams.....
In the corner of the end zone for a one-hand, one foot TD, at least that's what the eye in the sky determines....
And of course Medlock cranks the convert attempt off the goal post, because freaky Friday on a Saturday....but 21-9 looks pretty comfortable right now
Brandon Zylstra the only thing keeping Edmonton in this game right now, but Bombers winning the majority of the 50/50 balls.....
As the Esk receivers are not getting away with the push off like they usually do...
Fake reverse and throw by Langford looks pretty, but just fails to connect, and a 2 and out, bad punt and iffy no yards set up Reilly at centre field
Maas tries another ticky-tack PI challenge that fails......but no matter as the deep passes finally connect and the Esks are suddenly within 2 points at 21-19....
Offence stalling now as they have forgotten Harris again......but a big punt and outstanding cover teams keep Edmonton on a long field...
Hurl actually getting some pressure on Reilly, who is mis-firing because of all the hurries and heat.....
Randle island with a knockdown that could swat a hurricane away, and we trade punts again but keep gaining field position on the exchange....
Defence still giving up the odd big run, but out of the 3 minute warning.......
The death blow by Randle again, as Reilly telegraphs one pass too many and this one goes the other way to the house...37 yards on the pick-6 and 28-19......
Nothing left to do, but book the road win, count the two points, and savour the series win
Bombers now can safely dream of a home playoff game.....I can head off to dreamland now that the Crown is finished.

I dont think they are biased against us. No grand conspiracy here. Its just the way we play with an edge is not advantageous with the current rule enforcement. This is what happens with a nasty first OL.
The reffing in the league IS problematic though. No consistency in PI calls. I think if they put PI back to how its supposed to be in Tackle Football with the challenge change the game would improve drastically and the refs would have room to breath.

Thats true, but people said the exact same thing about jerome messam. Some previous bomber greats have been considered locker room cancer else where. Its seldom a case of one guy being the problem. More often it crops up when teams struggle. A bad situation stews long enough and eventually some one evolves into a problem. I would not write off a good player on a bad team too quickly. Any time a long time starter comes to a team to ride the bench you have that potential.
He can, but his info on the offense probably wont be more effective then our own scouting, and rich stubblers defense isnt the type where seeing all the cards will win you the poker game. The possible advantage with him is how well he would know the wr's and their tendencies.  Which is also a heavy scouting thing.

Here's Eric M again (Bomber Buzz) as he breaks down Kevin Fogg's terrific interception on Toronto's Kilgore and his first int.:
The Bombers were in cover-3 on Fogg’s interception at the 11:08 mark of the second quarter. It was 1st-&-10, and defensive coordinator Richie Hall had called a relatively common, conservative zone coverage.
Fogg was responsible for a deep-third of the field – Fogg (#23), FS Taylor Loffler (#16) and CB Terrance Frederick (#35) split the field into three deep zones – while weak-side linebacker Ian Wild and SAM linebacker Maurice Leggett dropped underneath to middle-hook zones.
Boundary cornerback CJ Roberts (#17) is in a curl-to-flat zone, while field halfback Bruce Johnson (#25) is guarding the flats. Roberts is taking away any corner-route or deep out-route from the no. 3 receiver in the boundary, while cautiously eyeing the flats.

Break-out slotback Kenny Shaw is the intended receiver on the play. The second-year Argo ran a post-corner, meaning he stemmed on a 45-degree angle to the corner before redirecting and breaking inside on a post-route. Seeing as Shaw is the primary receiver on the play, Kilgore’s first read is on the WILL, Ian Wild, to see if a window would open up to throw a strike down the seam. The young quarterback probably thought the SAM linebacker, Moe Leggett, would bail to the flats or use trail coverage on Shaw – a rookie mistake of pre-determining.
Kilgore’s eyes probably lit up when he watched Wild bail to the left, thinking there’d be a huge window to throw the ball to the post-corner. That would’ve been correct except Leggett hadn’t actually fled for the flats as he anticipated, and would have made the interception if he wasn’t eyeing the hook-route of the no. 2 receiver in the boundary.
In the end, Kilgore made a fine decision on the play; he really only needed one linebacker to vacate, and that came into fruition. The interception was simply a great play from Wild and Fogg, who saw Shaw cross his face on the corner-route and immediately crashed downhill to the receiver. Wild, meanwhile, showed off his incredible range on the play. Despite dropping towards the wide-side of the field, the fourth-year veteran redirected when he saw Kilgore ready to release the ball. He flipped his hips and flew over towards Shaw, covering a lot of ground in the process. Wild delivered a bone-crushing hit as the ball arrived, keeping the recipient on the ground for a few minutes. Essentially, Shaw had no chance to catch that pass.

I had heard on the broadcast of last week's game that Loffler played Aussie Rules Football.  When he made that interception it looked exactly like two guys going up for a mark (I watched a lot of AFL when I lived in Perth) only Fantuz didn't realize a battle was on and so Loffler out-jumped him for the ball.  Loffler's aussie rules experience really helped him there on that INT.  At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
