I think in this instance the Bombers can't afford another "swing and a miss".If they have another bad year Icould see attendance falling off dramatically. Sometimes safe and uninspired is better.Lapo is at worst a competent OC.

I wish they had punted MB midseason so we(I) would have a better idea how much was bad coaching and how much was lack of talent.Right now this seems like a deep dark hole we are in.

Basically its all speculation including the original story. There are a host of possibilities many of which have been mentioned and many we haven't thought of.I think (speculation again) Wade is VERY worried about the effects of this season on ticket sales.Apathy is settling in concerning the Bombers in Manitoba and personally I think thats worse than anger.If Wade steps on toes either in league or in house to try and correct things, so be it.If he wants an assistant coach who can take over from MOS if we struggle in the 1st 8 games so be it.MB shouldhave been sshipped out when we still had a legitimate shot at correcting the ship.Time to push, and maybe he is pushing.

This D has been improving every week.They simply dominated tonight . I'm impressed to see what a competent backup could accomplish with limited reps.Good job by Walters to go out and get solution to a problem.

Why does no one think it is possible Veltung is hurt? It doesn't exactly streach the possibilities of belief.

Arm strength is one thing but he isn't even able to be accurate on mid and even short throws.I claim no expertise in football but when Milt, Troy, Matt D ect... are saying he just doesn't have it I believe them.

Yup, no tail tucking from my point of view.Just a real hard fought game, with give and take on both sides.In the end we did what we had to do. Yes gave up big plays but got down right stingy when we had to. All in all a good win.

Between that and their schedule the Argos could be heading for a rough start.

I'd agree with this. On the post game show, after the coach's interview, I will move to TSN1290. And don't get me started on the number of commercials they play. There's a reason they're able to play so many commercials.......massive listenership. If you are talking cjob their ratings are on a steady decline as I understand it.I just know my own opinion and it seems Bob spends large parts of the show trying to hold it togeather.Seems like a shame to me that he has to do it. Yeah I don't understand how they get the ratings to do. Because they're f***ing good.....I don't listen to Wpg radio, obviously, but I know they're the best station in the city for a reason (tho CBC just beat 'em in the ratings for the first time in forever...)

Setting Bob Irving aside as he is one of the best has anyone else found CJOBs broadcast getting tired.The fact they don't send an entire crew toroad games just smacks of penny pinching.I enjoy Doug Browns articles but he seems to try to hard on air . I've found myself doing the 1290 pregame but wishing Irving was there.Am I alone?

More people play socer than hockey.Every single day will out draw training camp. It is one year . Can't you support something other than the thing you are interested in.My arguement has been used by many football fans when we look for support for theBB or the stadium.

I don't know how many of the anti-socer people watched the last Olympics but the Canadian women were phenomenal. They play a very tough, physical brand and did this country proud . It's training camp , and the up to 3000 people will have to give way to a packed, world event taking place in our city.Socer is the most popular sport in the world and in Canada. Set aside your aversions to a sport you just don't understand or is not your cup of tea and support the fact that Winnipeg scooped this major event.
