Coaches Show July 28
Anyone think the Bombers may make a play for Dressler if he's cut by the Chiefs? Apparently he's in pretty tough. Bryant isn't the answer and Willy may already have more chemistry with him(Dressler) than any of current guys on the team.

Who gets removed? Romby?

Gavins fined for dirty hit on Drew Willy
@friesensunmedia: I thought Gavin's hit was one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen in football. #Bombers Now you know that it was really bad.

Bombers Looking to Trade Korey Banks
Sears played a fantastic game against Toronto, but he is as durible as Watson is. I could see Sears getting hurt right after Banks is released.

Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
Who has a better chance of sticking with their respected NFL clubs Dressler or Matthews?

Bombers interested in Romby Bryant?
I would have preferred an injured Richardson

CFL cuts
Hopefully we eventually end up signing Matthews when he's cut from the Seahawks. Then we won't need to listen to all the bitching and moaning about neither Kelly nor Bryant.

Paris Cotton has made the final roster?
Yeah which confuses me because all I ever hear is how good imp (international) RBs are a dime a dozen. Cotton is decent, but I fail to see any wow factor. I'd go as far as saying I think we will see a revolving door of RBs this season. IMO Garrett and Simpson showed more...talent wise. I would also like to clarify that I'm not in the camp who believes Messam is the messiah either. I would like to see what Aaron Woods could do at RB. I'm very disappointed that Smith never panned out, but not entirely surprise by the results. The running back situation concerns me.

Bombers sign two more receivers
Blue Bombers Transactions WINNIPEG, MB., June 7, 2014 -The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed import receivers Juaquin Iglesias and Bert Reed. Iglesias (6-1, 212, Oklahoma, August 22, 1987 in Killeen, TX) played six games for the Argos in 2013, catching three passes for 65 yards, all on Jul 11th vs SSK. Played in the team's first six games before spending time on the Practice Roster. He was selected by Chicago with the 99th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft (Rd #3). Played one game for the Bears and also had tryouts with Minnesota and Houston. Iglesias spent his college career at Oklahoma, where as a senior (2008) he caught 74 passes for 1,150 yards in for the Sooners, fourth best in school history. He played 54 games at Oklahoma with 202 catches for 2,310 yards and 19 TDs. Reed (5-10, 183, Florida State, June 1, 1988 in Panama City, FL) was most recently with Jacksonville of the AFL. Previous to that, he spent brief times with Tampa Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh and Cleveland in the NFL. He played his collegiate football at Florida State where he finished fourth all-time in career receptions (170) for the Seminoles. He currently ranks 12th all-time in school history with 2,022 receiving yards, making him one of only 12 players ever at FSU to break the 2,000 receiving yard career mark. The club has also released import offensive lineman Ed Prince.

Kelly is good enough until we get Matthews back

I'm very surprised they don't have Anderson locked in beside Turner. Only reason I'm nervous about zach is because they're letting Etch have so much control over the personnel on defence. Not sure why Etch wouldn't like Anderson though, he's got a crazy motor, and he's as fast as a LB'er! He can fly to the ball and is ridiculously athletic for his position A potential victim of the ratio. They will probably have to start an NI there.

You mean Matthews and Muamba? Or am I missing someone?I also think we may be seeing Bilukidi (Sp?) and Mulumba at some point this year too. We'd have to come up with a nick-name for our defence at that point, with three Congolese-born players on our D. Sorry I should have been more clear i meant Bilukidi and Mulumba. I can totally see one of those two becoming available by September.

The only spot that concerns me is receiver. I wonder how hard (if at all) the club would go after Matthews if he was released from the Seahawks.

Rookie Camp Day 1 (Reports and Discussion)
Deal. When he turns 50 we're cutting him, no questions asked. The knee I had operated on feels pretty normal and functions well, way better than when I was trying to just rehab without surgery. The other knee never got injured badly enough to deserve surgery, so it just aches all the time. It's aching as I type this. Having had surgery on knees is completely different these days, AP ran for 2000 yards on his surgified knee. I beg to differ. I had reconstruction of my right ACL /MCL in '93 and '98 from playing football. In 2007 after have a dozen scope they decided to remove the remainder of my loonie sized meniscus. I am 41 and taking 2 tramacet every six hours waiting for my knee replacement surgery next spring at Concordia. The problem isn't the instability it the osteoarthritis from all the trauma that becomes too much.

Rookie Camp Day 1 (Reports and Discussion)
I could be wrong but did he not have 3 ACL reconstructions on one of his knees?

I worry about Zach Anderson. Vega and Turner will not be going anywhere and a DT position will be open for an NI(Lucas/Thomas). There are definitely a couple rookies that are going to push for a starting position on the Dline. I also wouldn't be at all surprised to see either of the our two guys that are in the NFL back by September.

DL should be a very interesting battle. I'm betting that's where the biggest surprise cut will be.

Free Agency - 2014...
Speaking of Hunt....Is he still pretty solid in Philly?

Replacement players opinions?
I don't see it happening as there would not be enough time to field a team. Training camp and preseason are too short as it is, never mind teach a whole new team the Canadian rules. I would just become an even bigger Bison and Rifle fan. All these friggin professional sports labour disagreements really piss me off. A strike will ultimately become a lose/lose/lose situation. Kinda reminds me of my divorce. In the end the kids (or fans) feel it the most. Us fans will pay with higher ticket and canteen prices.

Best guess at the 44 man roster projection
Nobody has Deisha Dunn on their final roster?

New "Name" LB
O'Shea made mention that they were going to look at Newman at LB. Before that was mentioned I was expecting him to be used at Safety
