  1. Not in 2022....hey ooooooo!
  2. So Rourke still has screws etc in him?
  3. I think if Rourke gets hurt, it's a bad look for BC specifically because of his importance to that organization.
  4. Oh yes, you are correct. Would have needed to convert to win/tie. "Let them". No competitve team LET's someone hang around. Letting someone do something implies you had a choice. CGY played well enough to be in the game. The Bombers didn't LET them score etc etc.
  5. Unfortunately that's just not how any competitive sport works.
  6. I think I explained quite well why it's a worse situation for the Leos and Rourke than it was for the Bombers and Ellingson.
  7. At the end of the day, dropped passes/dropped pics etc etc. They were 1 play away from winning. To me, that doesn't scream the Bombers beat the crap out of them. That was my point. The game for all the missed opportunities etc was very close right down to the last second.
  8. Schoen has 68 receptions to Ryhmes 82. lol
  9. Right, I know he would still be their property. But because he still has 1 year left on his contract, would he be required to play under it? Or sign a new one with BC?
  10. So if he gets NFL interest...and is signed to an NFL roster...but later released and decides to come back, he would be BCs property correct? If so, would he be obligated to play under the 3rd year of his contract? Or could he sign a new deal? And what if he misses the entire 2023 CFL season?
  11. If BC lets him go for the NFL, is he still obligated to resume his contract if/when he returns? Or will he be allowed to sign a new one?
  12. Oh he did sign a 3 year deal. I thought he was on a 2 year. This makes his possible "too soon return" even more risky for BC. I wonder if that changes if he is released to pursue the NFL?
  13. I mean...they were literally a fluke last play of the game away from winning. Jordan should have caught that ball and I'd guess 8 out of 10 times he does. The narrative that we kicked their ass isn't true if they were that close to winning. No one wins because they put up big yardage. They win because they scored enough points to win. CGY was very close to us in that category.
  14. I gotta wonder why @TBURGESS would disagree with this...?
  15. I kinda agree with you on this...but for arguments sake...Ellingson isn't starting his career, he also wasn't being presented as the future superstar for not only the franchise but the league and without Ellingson the team isn't significantly worse like it would be if the Leos lost Rourke 1 game before the playoffs. Also add in the very real possibility for Rourke to make life changing money if the NFL comes calling...which would end if he gets hurt again. Obviously that window has closed on Ellingson.
  16. Correct, I disagree with the "big" drop off aspect of what you said.
  17. ticket sales never has and never will = butts in seats. Which is why the L'ks can say they had 20,000 people there.
  18. It's a down grade on paper. But the results tell a different story. Mcrae didn't light it up, but I'd argue Schoen likely wouldn't have the yardage he has if Ellingson played the whole year. There are only so many plays to be made.
  19. As much as I like the point you're making. This just isn't true. During the Reinbold days, crowds were often so small I was all alone in a upper deck section with my dad. We'd basically just go sit where ever we wanted up there. And once I was old enough he let me go down to the lower sections alone and I'd sit right behind the bench. We've had plenty of years with real bad attendance.
  20. No, if you watch the recent mini video of Wolly and Schoen talking about their relationship. Schoen says that once Ellingson went down he took over his role. McRae took Schoens spot.
  21. I'm guessing he doesn't know that Harris has been border line useless since his return....
  22. A big dropoff? You do know that Schoen took over his role right?
  23. I think we see the majority of starters play for the 1st half.
  24. tackle stats are flawed. Usually it means your Defence is on the field a lot and that usually isn't a good sign. That's not always the case, but it's not surprising to see teams that have bad offences also having the league leader in tackles on their D.
