Doug Brown Explains
exactly, it's not that I disagree with him. It's just he says the obvious, over and over and over again. His article's aren't "hard hitting" like they state they are in the bottom "Doug Brown, once a hard-hitting defensive lineman and frequently a hard-hitting columnist," They're more like, a gentle tickle that everyone who knows anything about the team agrees with because it's so damn obvious.

Batman v Superman Spoiler Thread
I personally really enjoyed it. I liked that it was dark and gritty. Especially considering the ending. I didn't want that goofy, hopeful stuff in this. And I thought the few jokes they cracked where....ok. But not needed. Though the plot holes are pretty glaring...I'm not sure if it's been mentioned. But not a chance in hell Batman just tosses that spear away and leaves it there. I thought they did a good job in the luthor story. Though his motivation is a bit of a mystery besides him just being bat **** crazy and power hungry. (which is what lex luthor is) but this was just his beginning. He's just a "kid" compared to the other two, hence his remake into the bald lex at the end. I'm guessing we see a stronger Lex in JL. I loved the fact that they killed off Superman. Yes I know, he's not really dead...but that's how the story line goes. He comes back, i'm guessing they'll rush that timeline a bit for the movies sake but who knows. Justice league might take place multiple years in the future from BvS. I'm just glad they didn't string this out and make another few movies of the same old Superman. We've had that. We've had too much of that as far as I'm concerned. I want to see what happens in a world without superman. I really hope they don't rush him back in JL maybe an appearance at the very end to save the day somehow or something. But I'd be ok if Superman was left out completely in the first movies main plot. I was really worried they would **** up Doomsday, I thought going in that they were going to kill him off with everyone living etc. Was pleasantly surprised they got him to kill superman. His creation, overall look and eye beams where off. But I wasn't expecting a movie to portray him perfectly. A little bummed that he's dead.....but whatever, on to the next great villains. As for the Batman dream sequence. I thought they tried to make it seem like the Flash is talking about superman, but I think it will end up being about Lex. Who will be a villain going forward and somehow be involved in bringing Darksied to earth. Likely before Supermans return. Or at least they make it seem like that (lexs speech at the end about him coming etc). How Louis plays into that I'm not sure. Overall, I thought it was great. Basically what I expected/wanted with a few exceptions. But I will definitely be adding it to my superman collection.

half time should always be one of these 3 as far as I'm concerned - Kids soccer, Kids football, or dog races. 100% more entertaining than some of the crap they've been putting out there.

you realize there isn't a North american sporting league where the owners build the stadium right? Not even in the NFL. Governments take on the majority of the cost for these things. So it doesn't matter how much $$ a teams owner has when it comes to building a new stadium. It's the city that will have to take that on. If they aren't willing, the owners won't step up. Though in CGY I'd be surprised if they don't announce one coming in the next year or two.

That's it, he doesn't have an opinion either way. He was just saying basing any opinion on him being a solid player off of one stat line, doesn't make no damn sense!!! Mostly due to not knowing if he was the one who should be making the tackles, while also mentioning that the spot he lined up in all year on ST wasn't typically used as a gunner to go get the ball carrier....FUUUUUUCCKKK!!!!!!

You're argument was based on stats. Which do play an important part in showing a players worth on the field. But do not tell the entire story. As some players don't get the "Stats" due to the job they are supposed to do on the field. Just like Goosen isn't going to be racking up the rushing yards this year, but he will still play a vital role in that department. Or if you take a look at Wilds punting average, it's fairly bad, but he still plays a role on that team, just doesn't collect that particular stat. So by making an argument on some ones ability based solely on a single stat line, you are over looking the position they play and the purpose they fill while on the field.

better than the, "He's not doing what I think he should be doing, so he must be total garbage." argument.

Well we used our first pick. So I would hope to see some significant time on Defence from him this year. Not going to say starting...though that would be nice. But if he can get some game time in at safety I think that would be a good sign. Heard from a few people that think he is ready to start, but I'll wait until TC to make that jump.

No it is not that simple. like has been explained before, not everyone on the field is responsible for making a tackle.

It's too bad they can't get these guys inside the gate. The dogs are way better than anything inside, and it would be nice to support the local guys.

you're right. But his point is valid as well. Going to a football stadium and expecting top notch food is just setting yourself up for a let down. Saying that...I really like the poutine.
