He did make an effort. He started running, realized he wasn't going to catch the guy and that was it. He had absolutely zero chance of catching him. Of all the stupid things he did that game, people are complaining about a play in which he had no chance of making a play (besides the throw).

I'm more inclined to agree with Davis, Nichols was just giving credit to cgy....however, just stop talk matt. The optics aren't great for sure. I do agree actually! I just don't think Streveler should start going forward. I didn't boo, but I thought it was a stupid decision to let him back in there. One thing I often don't hear about that situation is the RT. Hardrick was out. So, poor play, already beat up, game out of hand AND a new RT....recipe for disaster.
