Well, funny thing about communication. It takes both sides to get it done. You can have phone numbers, emails, addresses etc etc. But if the other party ignores you...there will be a lack of communication.

Anyone who thinks the #2 spot isn't locked up by Streveler needs to put the bottle down, and drink some water cause you're too drunk. The only way Streveler loses the #2 spot is if during the REGULAR season he stinks it up for 9 straight weeks. Or he has an injury and Bennett lights it up. Also, I wasn't as impressed with the DB play as others seem to be. Lots to fix up, saying that. They weren't exactly playing a Defence we will see a lot of this year. So I'm not putting too much into it. I will say if we are using a Loffler style role at Safety, I'll be VERY concerned. Hecht does not have it. He bounced off tackles rather then wrapping up and always seemed to be a step behind. Jones had a great play to break up a pass, however the ball was under thrown, and the REC got behind him easily. During the regular season that is likely 6 points. But like I said it's preseason...hell it's basically preseason for the next 3 weeks. Not worried at this point. lol at it being a make or break game for Streveler...classic preseason bs.

My thoughts on the game. 1. 1st play of the game, Streveler to Whitehead. Streveler actually threw a great ball, Whitehead straight up stopped mid route for some reason. Streveler didnt show much otherwise. 2. Whitehead despite the mental error on play 1 still showed fairly well I thought. Speed for days, maybe the fastest player we've had in for a few years. 3. Dline will be good!!! 4.love the way Lawler attacks the ball, just needs to come down with it!! 5.love seeing the local kid score like that, what a great night for him. Nice to be back, but man preseason games can be boring. Pretty basic O and D today on both sides, wouldn't look into the success or lack there of from the OL.

Sounds(reads) like he is already done mentally. At this point of the year, you want your QB 100% confident in their abilities. Not talking about getting that back.

Generally when you are joking like this though, you come out and say it....like "ah man I'm just playing! lol" and then shake the guys had or whatever....Ed didn't do that...just walked away. Don't get it twisted. I have no hate for Thomas. But the writing is on the wall. They drafted 3 DL this year for a reason. Depth certainly being one of them, sure. But as much as I love Thomas he only made the grade last year after an injury to someone else, and he had a tremendous camp then as well. At the end of the day, we have 7 starting NI's without him. And at least 1 CND who has playing experience with 3 more that have way more upside behind him. There's likely minimal cost savings with cutting him, but the young guns will need reps, whether in game or practice. Hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see a point in keeping him.

I personally dont see Thomas making the team. Think he will be the "surprise" cut of the year.

Yeah, I get the feeling that he is likely dealing with some personal situation. Being absent this long, without the team releasing him likely means it's something serious. Hopefully him and his family are ok.

But you said any DB can easily shut him down, so why didnt they? If he got millions of targets, they obviously had the chance. He did also have less receptions then 3 out of the 4 Wr ahead of him. It's not even that I think he is better then what we have. But saying he is so done he doesn't remember what it's like to be good, is obviously insane. The guy can still play, he's past his prime, but will likely still be a 1000yrd rec.
