https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/514-wellington-heritage-conservation-city-winnipeg-demolition-lawsuit-1.5332879 Anyone been watching this? I drive by this home every damn day on my way back from work. And it annoys the hell out of me that a small group of people where able to dictate what the owners could or could not do, AFTER they got a permit to do the work. Of course no one in the group protesting this is willing to cough up the money to fix it or even purchase it themselves. And now tax payers are going to be paying for this in the courts. I've heard a few reasons, main one being a multiple family place would devalue the area...unlike a completely empty building that's slowly deteriorating....that's what people want!!

Bench Streveler Again
I think Harris will be a Bomber until he decides he's done. Don't see any coach or management getting rid of him. Not only because he's extremely talented but it would be a PR nightmare.

GDT - Stamps @ Bombers
I don't actually want him banned, I generally don't mind him. But don't post **** like that.

Bench Streveler Again
I can definitely see that too. But I can see Masoli really wanting to come back to Hamilton, as that's where all his success has been. And the team obviously knows him and his capabilities. If TO or OTT or someone else is willing to give up some solid assets for Evans, you'd be crazy to not look at it. We've seen guys come in and light it up for a year and then disappear, Masoli has been performing well for a few years now. Argument could be made you're taking a chance with Evans as he could regress. I'm also not sure Masoli will be able to demand that much more of a raise...So they might be able to get him signed and have both to a similar amount as this year. Lots of interesting scenarios this off season.

Bench Streveler Again
If Collaros goes on a tear and takes the team to the GC, that could make for an interesting off season. I'm in the group of "Do not resign him, regardless of what happens. Even a GC win!". I'm tired of have to deal with a glass QB (I don't consider Nichols a glass qb) like buck and willy. I can see both Nichols and Streveler coming back...and honestly I would be ok with that.

Bench Streveler Again
Yeah I know...but I can see Masoli coming back for a reasonable amount and them being able to fleece TO or OTT for Evans. I'm not saying it's 100% going to go this way but I wouldn't be surprised.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Exactly. I hate that, oh it's no fair, bs. You want "fair" go play checkers with your grandma. This is real life, get over it. Be better, work harder.

GDT - Stamps @ Bombers
This should be enough to get you banned. Stfu.

Bench Streveler Again
I guess it depends on how the season finishes, but i could see Hamilton resigning Masoli and trading Evans.

Fair, but the counter to that is. Technology is developed by investing in it. That's how we got to the situation we are in now. By investing time, money, resources into developing oil, so there would be no more shortages, and there would be lasting economic effects. If we took that same approach to renewables we'd see massive gains.

It's not just products, but how we get them. Everything that gets to stores for purchase does so via some kind of oil. Without oil as it stands now our society is much much different. But.....Those hard numbers aren't about getting rid of oil. They are about a point of no return if we dont stop what we are doing. They're two different things. Though getting off oil would solve both problems....but like you said that's just not available without undoing a lot of modern day progress or making massive changes in how we collect power. There is a solution. The main one being plant material, mainly hemp. Hemp can in fact do everything oil does. We know this. It can also be grown damn near anywhere. But there's solutions, and the matter of making money via these solutions and the infrastructure to make the solutions viable....and of course the people/businesses/governments willing to cough up the money to make the infrastructures viable. Its insanely complicated. But its legitimately only a matter of time before these changes occur. But dont think months or years. It will take much longer. Unless some technological advancement happens.

Canadian Politics
I guess when you're terrified of any kind of change you can't see the writing on the wall. Regardless of who is in power, the oil sands are going to be phased out. But guess what? That DOES NOT MEAN TOMORROW. It will take decades likely. Maybe longer. But it's going to happen.

Week of Stamps @ Bombers
I'm wondering the same. Along with Rios. I'm hoping it's a benching and not due to injury.
-
Week of Stamps @ Bombers
I'm guessing you don't remember Whitehead being a healthy scratch against MTL....And only getting into the lineup last week due to Adams being injured. Bailey will be playing.

Canadian Politics
There's a difference between "people" saying it. And actual hard facts though. Just because people are saying that, doesn't mean anything. You've cited "a journalist" a teenager and the leader of a politcal party who have never once come close to being in control of anything. Those are 100% not reliable sources, regardless of who tells you they are. People who are knowledgeable about the science and the hard facts aren't saying any of this. What people who actually know are saying, is that we are in for hard times, maybe the hardest we've ever seen in recorded history. And if we don't change our behavior (IE mindless consumption/pollution etc) those hard times are going to be even harder, especially to recover from. Most scientists believe that humans/life will survive this.

Those people are just god damn annoying. "we didn't win, so we're going to take our ball and go home!" Honestly, if people don't like Canada so much so that they want out. Move. I'm sure they're the same people who think immigrants/refugees can just go back home. If it's so easy, put your money where your mouth is and gtfo. This is Canada, love it or ******* leave it. Enough complaining.

I agree with everything you said except the bolded part. It's not clear that humans are causing it. It's clear that we are playing a role. But causing it, nope. The climate of earth changes regularly (well regularly on a galactic time scale anyway).

Week of Stamps @ Bombers
Get fired? Probably.

GDT: Bombers at Stamps
I think we can all agree that Nichols would have never made that throw....take from that what you will.
-
Week of Stamps @ Bombers
Ha...my bad.
-
Bench Streveler Again
To be fair, there isnt a OC in the league this year that has been able to keep their qb healthy.
-
Week of Stamps @ Bombers
Today is the only day we will know if Streveler is practicing. Tomorrow is a closed practice and thursday they head to cow town/walk through. I'm hoping for Rios it's not a vet day. I'd like to see Maston in his place.

Bench Streveler Again
Who would have thought we would be hoping Collaros would help lead the Blue to the GC at the start of the year... lol.... CFL is weird man.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
I'm going to say Nichols injury (which happened around the same time) was a much larger factor. Especially since Harris has basically been himself since coming back, argument could be made that he's been better.

Canadian Politics
I'm not sure he can. He's essentially been the same almost his entire political career. And even though I'm not entirely sure why, and maybe even a bit of hypocrite about it. I really don't like the fact he holds two citizenship's. At the end of the day, I think it was the lack of discussing his platform and the benefits of voting for the CPC that did him in. Was always why we shouldn't vote for others.
