He's not as good as probably a top 5 RB of all time in only his 3rd start... bah what a crappy player

We just seemed to lack intensity, the Redblacks were laying into the hits while we seemed very soft and just casually dragging guys down. The intensity picked up much more in the 4th quarter after Bighill laid in a big hit.

I remember last year when our rookie DB's had a rough opening game and then did a complete 180 and did great for the rest of the season.

How can you not have Wilson and Brown as must be top two guys. For the last and HH I guess I'd go with Schoen and Ellingston? Rose and Glass were by far the worst 2 players on the field today... Nichols had a solid game.

I don't know why people are making excuses for Rose? Watch the replay the guy bit hard each time on Acklins moves and was flat out beat. I hope it was just a bad day but he was getting absolutely owned today.

Masoli is like Glenn... you just need to hit him a few times and he gets rattled and makes mistakes. If you don't then he will get extremely hot and tear a team apart.

My half time thoughts: Redblacks Defense is playing with intensity with big smashing hits... I have not seen that at all on our side with exception of Kyrie Wilson. We appear to miss Stove up the middle quite a bit. Rose and Glass getting owned I thought LaPo ran a dink and dunk conservative offense? It appears 17to85 was incorrect all along and that I was right that it was a QB issue and not a coaching issue back in the day. Ellingston looks great, more balls to him please. Bombers need to get yelled at during half time and pick up the intensity, way to many soft hits and receivers wide open.

Zach Collaros wife is a teacher in Ontario and he would never stay in Winnipeg as per fans a few years back....

Harris knocked himself out of the "legendary" status IMO with his comments on the way out. Once he retires and time has passed I don't think people will hold him in the same regards as the all time Bomber greats.

Hannibal wasn't good that wasn't a surprise. Guys like Simpson were cut because we just have way so much depth that it would be near impossible for him to crack the line up. It's a good problem that we have.

Strev's 2nd season it wasn't because of the dink and dunk (that was mostly Nichols) , it was because LaPo was getting far to cute with Strev and rather then let him run a normal offense he created way to many complicated plays that ended up with him running around the field and taking far too much punishment. It was the complete opposite of what you said. In Strev's first season they gave him normal plays to run and it worked because he would take a few steps back and then rifle the ball down the field (as opposed to Nichols going into panic mode and either taking a sack or dunking it off short). Nichols could no longer (mentally) or physically stay in a pocket (or even move around) and look down field and throw a ball. He was good for 2 pre planned deep balls down the field and not much more. Pre injuries Nichols when he came in could consistently make 30 yard throws with no issues. Fajardo has never been able to throw a 30 yard or deeper ball. I had made a post showing how before Nichols 3rd last injury he was averaging nearly 300+ yards passing per game... afterwards only like 200-225. Dude was a completely different player after getting hurt. Most one sided trade in league history is Ricky Ray going to Toronto and it's not even close.

It is not slander if it is the truth? Same thing happened to Khari at the end of his Bomber career... dude could not throw anymore. If we are going to call slander then why is it ok to slander LaPo when HE won us the grey cup as the OC while Nichols won us zero Grey Cups?

Once again.... I think Matt Nichols being unable to throw a ball more then 10 yards was the biggest factor of LaPo's struggles with us. With Collaros LaPo didn't have issues mixing up the play calls and calling more deep shots.

So when are the cuts and does anyone think that any vets will get the axe?

My favorite play from last night was the Rider QB who whiffed on his throw and dropped the ball

I actually thought Suitor wasn't bad at all last night, he wasn't blowing the Rider prospects and called a neutral game. Nielsen on the other hand seemed to force his jokes a few times which was annoying.

The only negatives I saw on Brown was the sacks that he took. Prukop seemed to run first look for pass second and earlier in the game he underthrew a few balls similar to last week. He is LeFevour 2.0 who can run for his life and occasionally make a deep ball.

Good point a few of the Rider guys seemed lost on the field.
