I question some of the play calling by the Lions... is Butler hurt or something because I would of ran him on 2nd and short and would of ran him A LOT in the first half.

I don't think that was roughing the passer. I also forgot to say in the 1st game... Marshall Ferguson is by far the best PBP guy that TSN has. He's really clear and smooth and doesn't goof around like Nielsen does.

I watched the Ham - Toronto game... Is Dane Evans more shellshocked then Drew Willy? Seriously that guy is so far gone Steinhauer looks likes he wants to cry on the sidelines. Also why the F didn't they put Morton in on that last series while Dane was clearly hurt? I assume Hamilton cleans house this off season. Watching this 2nd game... O Connor is as slow and stiff as I had thought seeing him last week. I wonder how he handles a team that can actually generate a pass rush? Also why isn't BC using Lucky as the PR/KR? Fajardo looking like a guy who can only play in an indoor stadium and where each play is a 5 yard roll out. Also how come he's the only guy ever to play with a knee brace or injured and only he can get an excuse for the play? I don't remember Suitor continously talking about Nichols after his leg injuries and how that had hampered his ability.... seems like Fajardo is the only guy who gets a pass for getting a boo boo.

Maybe I misheard, they definitely did bring up his other job and retiring from it and thanking him for his service. I was under the impression that he had retired recently. It is also possible that he returned as a temp as many officers do this both in WPS/RCMP to double dip and get an extra nest egg going.

On the broadcast they said he also just retired from his regular day job. Maybe he's going on vacation?

I also found the announcers throughout the year have kept talking great about the Calgary secondary for being big... I think they have one of the worst secondaries in the league and are terrible at tackling. Hopefully in the play offs when we play them again , we look for more Schoen throughout the game.

Ok Mr Dramatic pants. I always love when Matt calls the game and have said so on this site because he has great enthusiasm and isn't afraid to voice his opinion. Yes we are all fully aware that at times he struggles to say names or get what he is thinking out of his head. Last night he sounded half tanked because he would go on tangents that went nowhere and it didn't help that Nielsen tries to be a comedian. News Flash ... Chris Walby used to get absolutely blitzed on the air/tv back in the CBC days. It's not out of the realm of possibility that he had a few rums last night. Instead of being someone looking at anything to complain about, maybe think that it is possible that he had a few bevy's and was just feeling good?
