  1. With a D that can actually make consistent stops......that task might become somewhat easier.
  2. I am lucky that I have gin, to prop me up.....
  3. That was the 19th game of the season......and this D gave up 7 plays of 25+ yds, had huge breakdowns resulting in 3 easy peasy Esks touchdowns, and couldn't tackle a fishing rod. We insist on running all this zone stuff - but continually have this level of confusion, in the back 7. A number of players, particularly Walker and Fogg.... simply looked like they simply had no clue at all, out there. Bottom line.....we seen no improvement from the defensive collapse in last year's playoff...... Unacceptable. This D needs to be completely re-grounded in both assignment basics and tackling techniques. and it has to be done with a new DC. This is now a prerequisite.....not an option.
  4. Work harder.....
  5. As I posted way back when......Nichols's sum is truly greater than his parts....particularly in the leadership/intangibles aspect. We can certainly go the distance with him at QB.
  6. Might also want to ask why the rooks in the secondary.....don't see to progress, as the season wears on and why the tackling techniques continue to be so bad. And yes, Lapo gets too cute, by half at times....particularly in the redzone.
  7. Re: Hurl I don't completely blame him, for the situation........he is strictly a backup.....who is miscast as a starter. Hurl can play inside or out, reasonable smart and gives max effort. But he just cannot MAKE PLAYS from the MLB slot......I watch this guy always getting screened or washed out of the point of attack. Also not quick enough to be really utilized as a blitzer either. This position must be upgraded - period. As, well......I think that this whole idea, that the defensive scheme is to have the MLB, just eat up some blocks - so that someone else, might make the play is a total crock.

.....and why would O'Shea be so concerned with keeping Reilly off the field? He was right to be concerned....
  10. ...and here I thought I had fired Tim Burke....

Having 7 guys miss the tackle on another Moes TD, didn't help either.......
  12. Should be on the hot seat.......to move up to the next level, anyways..
  13. 1. New DC 2. Backup QB 3. Bigger, faster import receivers 4. MLB 5. At least one more DHB or CB

You have to have a MLB who can get off blocks, and make plays. We don't.

What bothers me....is that in the 19th game......our DB's still looked confused in zone coverage. Beginning of season, ok.....but at this point, inexcusable.

Wanted to add that Walker and Fogg looked clueless out there.......coaching or whatever...

Flanders only needed to get 3 yards.......just didn't work. But that was no reason (or excuse) for the D to just fold like a cheap suit, on that drive.....and then completely fall apart as the half went on.... D also fell apart late, in the playoff, last year as well...... Tiring....
  18. Epic defensive collapse in that 2nd half.....without the turnovers......just not good enough........some of our DBs...looked like trash today
  19. Yup....fire Hall......but the players in back 7...not nearly good enough...

Of course Sean Hannirty blames both the media and the victims. Blaming the victims of sexual abuse, seems to be a Fox News stock in trade, round those parts.....

Moore presents the Republicans with a quandary. A lot of them (particularly in the Senate), with the Midterms looming, would like to avoid the ole Judge, like the plague......but the Trump/Bannon base..... does have this thing about getting behind good ole racist, sexist, and homophobic bigots.
