For all the talk of NRA money.....it is their ability to mobilize a certain voting block, that allows them to hold sway over legislators in the House and Senate. Give them credit - they have instilled quite the Pavlovian reflex, among their supporters. Any minute piece of control legislature on guns..... is immediately translated via the 2nd amendment, as big government oppression and attacks against personal liberty. The historic gun mythology - red blooded patriot, strong man, steely eyed, and quick on the draw, also hold these folks in thrall. A sort of objectified porn, if you will. Happiness is a warm gun, bang bang, shoot, shoot......

His "apology" was simply code for "crap I got caught"

Upon reflection.....was thinking that this "Arm the Teachers" idea just might be alright......as perhaps a stopgap measure. Until we can arm the bus drivers, pastors, mailmen, checkout clerks, ticket takers, sanitation engineers, box store greeters, mall Santas, zoo employees, aid workers, pageant contestants, diplomats and astronauts.

For a total "Nothingburger".......this Mueller investigation appears to be causing a certain amount of indigestion. Then again, the concept of Russians interfering with the American election process, was simply "Fake News" and a "hoax"

Well, predictably.....those kids are currently getting a box barrage of crap, from a variety of Conservative pundits, outlets and social media posters A number of alt-right sites - Brietbart, Infowars, Daily Caller, et al......maintain that the students are either the "victims" of mind control or are intimated by "left wing gun control activists.” They are also referred to as "Democratic plants" Former U.S. Congressman Allen West, (Tea Party) lumped shooter Nikolas Cruz with five Americans of Middle Eastern descent who claimed connections to Muslim terror groups. Gateway Pundit, (another far-right, pro-Trump deal) calls one of the leading student voices “a paid plant.” Better yet, it features a picture of student David Hogg with a circle around his head, captioned: “Son of FBI agent.” .......and as always, when you need real right wing pontification......there is ole Bill O'Reilly ✔ @BillOReilly No, the big question is.....should these teenagers be entitled to freely exercise their innate right to free speech and be able to express their honest feelings about a horrific and tragic event.....without their motives being completely politicized and smeared by cretins like Bill O'Reilly. If there is "peer pressure" at all .....it just might be..... to simply not accept being shot down like a bunch of chickens by a disgruntled kid who couldn't buy a Bud, in the state of Florida.... but could legally obtain 10 rifles and all the ammo he could carry. Perhaps they feel that the status quo is unacceptable....and that something should be done

In the spirit of fairness, as far as possible collusion with the Russians.......perhaps he is just an "unwitting" tool.

30 Million gets you a whole lot of collusion....

Trump two days ago: Sarah Huckabee Sanders today: So glad she has recovered from her momentary hesitation over the Porter thing. Spin cycle back on.

You might think that. I couldn't possibly comment.......

So, just because Don Trump is a serial lying, self centered, mendacious, raging narcissist.......it somehow means he does not care. So cold, man.

Still don't know what Bannon is telling Mueller about certain people within the WH. Kushner and Trump Jr. are probably not on his Christmas list. BTW...whatever happened to the ole "red line" about Mueller probing into Trump family finances?

The lawyer behind Manifort's Ukraine lobbing effort has been charged with lying to Mueller's Special Council Team. He is also the son-in law to Russian oligarch German Khan https://talkingpointsmemo.com/muckraker/law-firm-associate-pleads-guilty-mueller-lying Couple of logical takeaways: Message to people who think they will lie to Mueller's people Message to the Russians Message to Manifort But instead....I expect: BOMBSHELL! TRUMP INNOCENT! NO COLLUSION! POW!! MUELLER FRAUD!! WITCH HUNT CONTINUES!!
  16. What! We lost Kyle Knox! Good.

One of the other interesting items in Trump's latest box barrage of tweets: I NEVER SAID RUSSIA DID NOT MEDDLE IN THE ELECTION! Well, at least the Don, is actually telling the truth......about Putin "laughing his ass off"

You missed the directive, to stop running Harris, inside the red zone..........
  19. ...and Bowman perhaps reaching the sticks.

He pretty well has to. Bannon was angling for the interview format, all the way. He would be content to not be the target, whatever that would take.....
  21. do or die replied to Rich's post in a topic in General Discussion
Meanwhile Bannon spends two full days with Mueller, to avoid public testimony in front of the grand jury......then afterwards, continues to freeze out the Congressional Committee, on the Hill. Some folks should be real worried about this......particularly Kushner.

I think the flipping of Gates - Paul Manafort’s right hand man, during his past decade of lobbying and foreign work - puts him in the next set of cross hairs. Mueller may be able to double down on the indictments against Manifort - then invite him back for an interview, to see if he is more willing to play some ball.....
  23. do or die replied to Rich's post in a topic in General Discussion
Don Jr. invited Mueller, a while back to "come for him". This may prove to be a singularly bad idea.

Collusion is probably the most difficult charge to make stick, because of all the moving parts, and in this case - buffers - from a judicial point of view. However, events over the past year, plus what has come out of Trump's own mouth.....have provide a certain amount of circumstantial evidence and some proof of intent .....to make obstruction of justice, a real possibility. That is if Mueller can get a certain level of collaboration from witnesses. Still think that the ole money trail.....which takes a great deal of research and time - will eventually yield some pretty interesting stuff..... about certain relationships between the Trump family and some Russian political and criminal interests.
