Jones got his CFL start in Montreal so I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree!

Herb reported that but then said Kavis shut that down real quick. He said Adams isn't going anywhere.

There may be a few like that but at least some of them came to the US through the normal refugee process so they would have been vetted prior to being allowed into the US. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/refugee-border-crossing-manitoba-1.3959558

Wouldn't the vetting 1st be done by the US? Not saying that we shouldn't be doing our own but it's not like they are coming here straight from their own country.

The ref in question is 100% an mma referee. He's from Ontario & was trained by Big John McCarthy. I'very seen him work 1st hand many times and is normally much better. Horrible timing to have an off night.

He was also very complimentary to the Bombers on twitter after signing with BC. Strictly a business decision IMO. If he can reach his potential in BC, his next contract will reflect that I'm sure. He wasn't going to get that same chance here based on the system they want to run.

Burnett apparently took less money to go to BC to get that opportunity too. Hodge was freaking out that they let him walk for such a low amount but if I'm reading this tweet right, there wasn't going to be much the Bombers could do.

A lot of people are concerned with the new direction of the UFC. Even Rogan has said he'd be out if he wasn't so loyal to Dana. The last PPV was mediocre on paper and lived up to the expectations (Poirier vs Miller being the lone exception). It was not a good night all around for the fighters, refs, or judges. A draw with a point deduction would have been warranted. A warning after the 1st infraction (which was borderline late) and a point taken away after the 2nd (which was clearly late). It was the 1st UFC title fight for Anderson (he's done a ton of Bellator shows) and he didn't do himself any favors... especially when he jumped in early after the 1st two late punches.

I don't see Floyd agreeing to anything but a straight up boxing match which would mean the 8 or 10oz gloves and a ring. Apparently the Nevada commission is involved in the negotiations somehow so it would be a sanctioned fight and rules would have to be followed.

No official reason has been given (even Goldie says he has no idea what it came down to). The new owners are cutting staff/fighters left right and center and Bellator is (or at least should be) taking full advantage.

Saw that too but the latest tweets are saying there are multiple teams in on him now.

Mi'chael Brooks also re-upped in BC

IF this ever happens, they should do a best out of 3 fights... boxing followed by mma, then kickboxing if needed. Floyd mops the floor with him in a straight boxing match but loses in MMA. Kickboxing would be the most even match-up for those two.

Careless as in letting his country club members posts the name & picture of the guy who holds the presidential emergency nuclear package on social media? http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-02-13/indiscriminate-mar-lago-member-poses-nuclear-football-and-posts-facebook
  15. Love this. If this is the only signing we do all day, I'll still be happy!
  16. Well it would seem he did a piss poor job of analyzing their cap situation so this might be addition by subtraction for the Als. Not great timing though for sure.

Stamps take another one off the board.
  18. The starter money thing isn't exactly correct but it's up for interpretation I guess. The quote Walter gave was: I'm reading that as those guys want to get paid more like a Tate/Lulay than an actual starter but Walters is looking for someone cheaper since they want Davis in that role.

  20. Correct. " Keeping was to be Winnipeg’s sixth offensive lineman this season, an area the Bombers remain thin. " http://slam.canoe.com/Slam/Football/CFL/Winnipeg/2016/06/10/22641585.html
  21. Yes but in Rider math, 7+6 = 3 people.
  22. If/when this turns out to be true, I hope they throw this one at Jones.
  23. They actually have more than just one article on the incident if you you go to the Edmonton section of their website. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/syrian-refugee-west-edmonton-mall-sexual-assault-reaction-racism-1.3973831

http://www.wsj.com/articles/number-of-illegal-immigrants-in-u-s-holds-steady-at-11-million-1474394518 Illegal immigration peaked at 12.2 million in 2007 under Bush and of those, 6.9 million were from Mexico. The numbers under Obama dropped to 11 million (5.8 million from Mexico). Obama also deported more illegals than any other president so you can't really say he wasn't doing anything about it. Trump is targeting Mexican illegals at a time when their numbers are shrinking but numbers from other places like Asia & Africa are rising.

Ironic considering the number of illegal immigrants in the USA were at a record high under Bush but decreased under Obama. Did your friend happen to vote Democrat the two previous elections for the Republican failure to act?
