Henry was cut before main camp last year. Morgan was released before camp... Edmonton picked him late last year but he finished the season on their PR.

He's done commentating before (Affliction) and his podcast was great (he might start that up again now) too so he should be fine. I've spent a bit of time with him and listening him talk about the how's & why's of the sport was fascinating. I hope that translates to his commentating career.

You would have loved the moondogmanson forums then. It was both entertaining and disgusting back in the day. No love for RME in that recap TUP? Lol ?

It's a nice get for Bellator. John has been hinting at retirement for a while so I'm not surprised. He still hasn't officially retired but this drastically limits what he'd be able to do (ie major league mma is done for him).

I remember watching Mentallo in the late 90's with the CWF (he went by Hysteria back then) and thought he was head and shoulders above everyone else. I know he worked in Japan & Mexico a bit but I was surprised he never managed to stick in either place.

Mentallo is still going. Not sure how often but he's working the current CWE tour.

In case anyone was wondering, Bob Sapp did "fight" the bear... the results are as expected.

All 3 judges gave Holly round 2 & two gave her round 1. I can see giving her the 1st two (had it 49-46 myself) since Cyborg didn't really turn it up until the 3rd round. Having said that, I also wouldn't have been upset by 50-45 Cyborg. 1st couple rounds could have been scored either way depending on the judges view. 3-5 went to Cyborg easy. Rizin put on an amazing show this morning. Kinda glad the Gabi fight didn't happen, that freakshow would have taken away from an awesome night/morning of legit fights (cro cop vs kosaka aside ?).

Anything can happen in JMMA. Why not get two birds stoned at once and make it a handicap match!

  17. I wonder if DB's are holding off signing until they see who the DC will be.
  18. They didn't actually show her taking the books but later on you catch a glimpse of them on the falcon. Yoda also tells Luke that rey has all the knowledge she needs when he burns down the tree.

Looks like Bamgbose is hanging up the gloves...
  20. And a useless one considering he's now re-signed with the Stamps...

I think multiple factors played into the crowd size - the last card here, time of year and the fact it was a free card you could watch from home. Over-saturation could also be a factor because the TV ratings were not great either. Herb was warning both guys about timidity... Dan Miragliotta was saying he would have taken a point if he had been in there, because it was so bad. It was just a weird fight for Bamgbose, because he's usually much more explosive than that.

The crowd was small (8.5k) but it was loud in the arena. Misha is excellent on the ground (at least his top game is) but I agree about the heart. He fought the choke but made no attempt to get out of back mount. I think Bamgbose had the worst showing... danced around for the entire 1st round and then got face planted quickly in the 2nd.

Elliot also declined a replacement fight on Dec 30th so I'm guessing he just doesn't want to fight. He's drunk at cageside tonight and has been drinking since 10am. Lol
  24. I also saw it this afternoon and loved it. Can't wait to see it again. A few random thoughts off the top of my head: Didn't see the Snoke twist coming at all. Surprised by leia's role given real life events. A bit disappointed by the reveal of Rey's parents.

Manitoba has regulations in place where the doctors can call off the fight if there's extreme dehydration. Not sure if that was the case though as Elliot was offered a catch weight but declined it.
