  1. Calgary seems to be hurting as well. Might be an interesting battle of the backups this weekend.
  2. So you figure Claybrooks will end up in Toronto too? Interesting... 😉
  3. Lost all respect for Bauming on this. Cross-contamination is a huge issue and rather than address that, he sticks to the story of the athlete being 100% responsible for their body. That's known as the strict liability policy and other sports are now questioning that line of thinking. There's an article on The Athletic about this right now, with the head of the UFC's anti-doping program. https://theathletic.com/1325861/2019/10/26/in-a-contaminated-world-can-common-sense-prevail-with-the-ufc-anti-doping-policy/
  4. HBO confirmed a while ago that while they had multiple concepts (5 according to GRRM), they only planned to have one show. "We had four scripts in development when I arrived in LA last week, but by the time I left we had five," George RR Martin said in a blog post. But HBO's President of Programming Casey Bloys then took it upon himself to clarify what was actually happening, announcing that while several shows are in development, HBO only expects to produce one in the end: "The idea is not to do four shows [or five, as we now know]." https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a835085/game-of-thrones-prequel-spin-off-show-cast-date-ideas/

Nope, no similarities there at all... Whoever decided that was a good shirt to put out there, needs to give their head a shake.

Interesting... not sure how well this will work for them with their current roster (2 years ago would have probably been the ideal time). It does sound like they are lowering expectations though by talking about growing their brand before moving into bigger venues.

Looked like Fenix got a busted nose from a V Trigger late in the match. He was leaking pretty good but didn't seem to bother him.
  9. UFC

He's got some name value (for better or worse) and he fights at heavyweight where talent is always scarce. They hope that, given his natural athletic ability, he can develop into something special. I'm not convinced yet, based on what I've seen so far and the favourable match-ups they've given him.

Agreed. And they still haven't shown all their roster yet (at least on Dynamite). They still have a number of very talented workers who have only appeared in dark matches so far.

  12. Thief would be a good start.

Pretty sure MOAB is referring to the fact that Richie has had his own health issues over the last few years.
  14. On Twitter, I've seen Bridge & Lulay thrown out there as possibilities. Durant would be the only other guy I could think of.

Lots of shots fired in that promo, I popped for "we're not NEXT, we're NOW".
  16. Have you seen some of the things that have been said about Nichols or (to a lesser extent) Steveler on here?
  17. It's the only thing he can still do somewhat effectively. He certainly didn't do much else in Edmonton. James Neal, on the other hand, is fitting in quite well with his new team. It's still early but the Oilers are definitely winning that trade right now.

Would have preferred this 15 years ago but still gonna watch!
  19. Hall still isn't back from dealing with his family issue so you might get your wish. It's addition by subtraction in my mind.
  20. It's amazing how far Franklin's stock has fallen... from a star QB in waiting to being worth less in trade value than a guy who can't last more than a few snaps.
  21. That thought popped into my head when I saw they made an offer for him... the flipside is losing to Sask with Collaros behind center (for as long as that would last). They have enough stuff to yap about already so no thanks to taking Rider trash off the scrap heap..
  22. He took a stick from Taylor Hall. The fans were going nuts because they thought it came from a Jet and should have been a penalty. The stick got him bad enough that they were pulling fibreglass out of his gums.
  23. When Chamblin was hired Dunk had this to say, so they might also be paying for Trestman as well which would make it even more difficult for them to lure MOS away.
  24. They can just go ahead and cancel my season tickets if they would even contemplate this. I don't want to see him back in any capacity next season, never mind giving him a promotion!
