I can't say I'm that surprised about Copp being sent down. He had a good finish to last year and a good camp but if you send Lowry down, realistically you are going to lose him and with Copp he does not have to clear waivers so he remains with the organization. Copp would have had to be like 200% better than Lowry but it was close enough that you have to go with the smart move from an asset management perspective. I was hoping for more out of Dano. He was in tough but I can't say he even made the decision a tough one. We'll see what happens with the goalie situation. For all Pavelec's flaws, it's always nerve-wracking to put your faith in a new starting goalie. If Hellebuyck regresses badly, it would be disastrous. But I've still got high hopes. Guys that legitimately won spots are Connor and Tanev. Both could have been sent down but played well in pre-season and secured a spot. Defence is a trouble spot. I believe we have the worst depth I've seen since year one with Jets 2.0. Pardy is available, we should get him back in the fold. Seriously, he would be a great fit with the Moose and I believe would be a better call-up option than Strait and Melchiori.

To me the issue here is that the CFL does not test for recreational drugs and the only reason BJ got busted is that they have wrongly classified this drug as performance enhancing. BJ could have been doing coke all night with no issue but then he popped a pill and because the CFL has it classified as a PED he gets busted. I think that is wrong and silly. I'm sure many don't agree but it is a mistake on the part of the CFL and CFLPA.

I tend to stick to things that come from the ground. Any time you start messing around with chemicals you're asking for trouble. And that includes **** like Xanax and Ritalin that get pumped into the population legally.

Never said they were the best. 20th seems more reasonable to me, as in they are roughly average. As for the article itself, the guy freely admits he doesn't even watch any other broadcasters. I can go to multiple message boards and find people who think they would make a better GM/coach than people who do it professionally but it doesn't make it remotely true. Anyone saying Hellebuyck can't be blamed for letting in five goals is just being willfully ignorant. He absolutely got hung out to dry a few times but he simply had to be better if he wants to make the team. I don't get why some people want to give young guys a pass for every mistake. The team is in the business of winning games, not coddling kids. If a player isn't yet good enough to play in the NHL night after night, then he should be in the AHL.
