Dunigan's argument was Pierce should have been replaced in the offseason, not now. I 100% agree with that. The part about Goltz was way off though. Mack's failings have to include an OL that is below average or worse at 4 out of 5 spots. Shannon Boatmen being the best import RT he can come up with after 4 years is a huge failing.

Seeing as how this is a GM thread, I figured I'd put it here. Lawless (I know...) said on H&L the other day he's heard from other league sources that Walters & Mack strongly disagreed on our 1st pick this year. Apparently Walters wanted Edem.

Who took a step back under him? January's become an allstar under him & Morley's the only other guy who was here when he arrived. He also turned a DT into a serviceable LG.

Yes, Max Hall should be next in line. Under no circumstances should Pierce ever start a game for this team again. Mgmt already made themselves look foolish naming Pierce as our starter going into the season. Doubling down on the error by keeping him as our starter is much worse than handing the team over to unproven guys. I'd rather run with guys who we don't know much about than somebody we know well enough to be sure he isn't the answer.

All of his sentences are long and drawn out. That's just how he speaks.

Goltz basically said the same thing about Pierce last week, something like "this city is waiting for a consistent qb".

Good decision. I just wish we had a competition in camp between young qb's (some combo of Brink, Elliott, Goltz, Hall, etc.) for the starting job, with Pierce pencilled in as the #2 right from the start.

That's been huge for this site. There's not really anybody here that I would put in the category of troll, which can't be said about the other two sites. OB is much worse for that than the EP is, but they both have them. And yes, the latest update at OB sucks.

What excuse did I make? What am I twisting around? The example you gave is one where he gave an interview within a week of the game. If you don't like the reality of that give a better example. Is it true or false that he didn't do many interviews in our Grey Cup season either?
