all of you were throwing a pissy pants fit about buck pierce before the season even started so I'm not surprised you aren't being objective. the coach comes out and says a wr can't beat man coverage and you defend him. it's getting ridiculous.

watch the last 2 games again. there are some bad throws but way more coming his way that he would have had last year but can't seem to come down with this year.

pierce has thrown some bad passes but Matthews has put way more cachable balls on the turf than he's seen uncachable passes.

how many catches has Matthew's put on the turf in the last few games? how do you defend a receiver when the head coach says he didn't beat man coverage once in a single game? I think the assertion that he can't beat man coverage suggests it doesn't matter who the qb is.

Maybe Denmark didn't get passes thrown his way because he coudln't beat the coverage not because the QB or OC forgot what a WR was.

I see what your are saying about wilting but I wouldn't characterize it the same way. I've seen guys like Rothlesburger do the same thing when 3 or 4 defenders are getting through on a house blitz.

its not just QB play that is the problem though. You are wrong about that. Maybe when you are playing Madden switching to the backup QB works super awesome but this isn't Madden.

I thought this would be pretty obvious but I guess it isn't. Why isn't the first person to be fired the CEO when things aren't going well at a company? If you have a device that isn't working why don't you just throw it out before you try changing the batteries? If your car is running rough do you check the spark plugs and see if it's a bad tank of gas, or do you replace the entire engine or the entire car, or stop driving cars all together and begin working on your pilot’s license. Troubleshooting anything you work up from the smaller stuff.

the run number is misleading. save for a large run simpson was getting stuffed a lot. I don't blame them for abandoning it if they run blitz but I want it replaced with short passes.

If they are going to blitz the **** out of us, I don't know why we don't throw quick hitters to slow it down. In the last series before the half they worked very well. If they are blitzing the primary read should be a quick hitter and then if they don't actually blitz you have time to move on to an intermediate route.

The only clue I had that something was up was when I saw cauchy playing CB. At that point you have to assume Market is already playing Sam or something to that effect and another starter is also hurt to move the safety.

what ever reciever is getting benched (if any) I'm sure they deserve it. Also based on Harris getting replaced even though he was on a dominate D-line. Overall unit performance isn't being used to judge one player. IE, they would probably replace a poor performing WR even if the offense as a whole was playing well.

I saw him blitzing from the MLB spot but that is it. for all we know he could have played there more, the TSN coverage is really quite bland. When they are talking about coffee mid touchdown run you can't expect them to be updating people on defensive substitutions.
