I've noticed that too. Maybe it's due to the incompetence of their commentators. I think it's americanization of all their broadcasts. American sports are all about hype hype and more hype and I think TSN is jumping on that bandwagon. I hate it. The sport is good enough to stand on it's own without the artificial hype. And when the guy they're hyping has a bad game...it just gets even more ridiculous. like how they updated us that Chick had zero sacks but had been "double teamed" by having a tight end or RB chip in on the blocking on two occasions.

It's been like that for a while now. I find myself watching the NFL preseason games and holding my breath everytime a pass downfield is incomplete...then realize no flags are coming.I believe the NFL is at an all-time high right now for penalties, averaging 12 a game. The CFL is averaging 23 per game. It's ridiculous. And they call holding in the nfl, even when it isnt blatant and egregious

Have to disagree with you on this one. We lost to both Sask and Toronto for the same reasons: Willy was under pressure all night, we couldn't stop the run when it mattered and we couldn't run the ball to save our lives. Expect Montreal to follow the same game plan that the Roughies and Boatmen used, and if Bowman has the same success as Chick did, we're in big trouble in this game. If Montreal wins, they have a chance to both save Higgins' job and the season. If we lose, the next time we look up we could be on a six game losing streak and seeing the playoffs disappearing in the distance.
