The Next Canadian Quarterback?
Unless they show well at that level, or teams have some sort of incentive for having a Canadian QB. I could be wrong, but I recall hearing that if a team were to start a Canadian at QB, he still does not count towards the number of Canadians you must start.

The Next Canadian Quarterback?
He could always transfer at some point too, who knows? Definitely impressed by the fact he is a 4 star QB though. Good for him, hope he has a chance to show well, despite the roadblock infront of him.

Phillip Hunt tears ACL
As crazy as it is, the amount of ACL injuries that have happened in NFL camps, to have four on a single team has got to raise some sort of red flags I would imagine.

Phillip Hunt tears ACL
Feel bad for the guy, was one of the few Eagles to actually play well last year. He's the FOURTH Eagle to tear his ACL in this year's camp. Not sure if this will have an impact in his standing with the team next season, so I figured I'd post it. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/08/15/phillip-hunt-becomes-fourth-eagle-to-tear-an-acl/ The Philadelphia Eagles’ bad run of serious knee injuries continues. Phillip Hunt, a third-year backup who is transitioning from 4-3 defensive end to 3-4 outside linebacker, has suffered a torn ACL. Hunt had successful ACL surgery today, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports. Eagles receivers Arrelious Benn andJeremy Maclin and linebacker Jason Phillips have also suffered torn ACLs in the last three weeks. Those three injuries all took place on the team’s practice field, while Hunt’s injury was suffered at Lincoln Financial Field in the Eagles’ preseason opener against the Patriots. Coach Chip Kelly has said he wants to look into everything the team is doing to determine if there’s something causing the rash of torn ACLs. So far, there’s no reason to believe it’s anything more than bad luck.

Buck vs Goltz (Advanced Statistics)
A) I've said which ones do - Completion percentage, yards per completion, yards per game. B ) It was, and is clear that Mack was the driving force behind starting Goltz, as he was when Brink started for Jyles in 2010. Coincidence that Goltz is 3, now that Mack is gone? Definitely not IMO.

Alouettes sign QB Troy Smith
Love the signing. Not sure how he'll transfer over to the Canadian game, but he was very fun to watch for Ohio State, and I look forward to him getting a shot next season when his number is called.

Buck vs Goltz (Advanced Statistics)
This will be my last comment on this, as there are those in support, and not of support and that's not changing obviously, and this has also been debated ad nauseum by many, myself included. There are stats that favour Buck, there are stats that favour Goltz. In my opinion, the ones that favour Buck are the stronger indicators of the production you are getting from the position. Also, stats don't tell the whole story as game film plays an important role as well, or else why watch the stuff. I feel Buck gives us a better chance than Goltz, as does the entire offensive staff. Goltz wouldn't be #3 if that wasn't the case and for me, that's all that I need personally in this debate. Cheers folks! (for this subject of discussion anyway)

The Next Canadian Quarterback?
I'm aware, but they are not prototypically a QB producing school. They produce a lot more running backs in recent history (John Clay, Montee Ball, Ron Dayne, Aaron Stecker) than QB's for the professional level. Aside from Wilson, Scott Tolzien is the only Wisconsin quarterback in the NFL, and is on his second team in two years after being undrafted. Jim Sorgi got time when Peyton Manning was out in Indy in 08 I believe, that was a disaster, then spent time with the Giants, and Brooks Bollinger had a cup of coffee for a few teams. Wilson is the only guy that's had staying power.

Garrett been released?
Yet Pierce is ahead of him on the depth chart, following consultation of the ENTIRE offensive staff. If Goltz was significantly better as you're implying, he wouldn't be the #3.
-
The Next Canadian Quarterback?
The offense does not breed quarterbacks. Wisconsin runs a pro style offense, in that they use single back, I formation, and off set I sets, but they run 70% of the time. Teams like Baylor (RG3), and West Virginia (Geno Smith) do not run pro style offenses, but produce highly drafted quarterbacks.
-
Garrett been released?
I would agree, though I think it's highly unlikely any three of our current QB's will be on the roster next year, hence my beliefs on the position right now for this season. Under normal circumstances, absolutely.
-
Garrett been released?
Lower QBR by 1.2, stop the presses, immediately put Goltz back at one on the depth chart! There's a good reason after consulting with the coaches that they have Goltz at three after just two weeks starting. They'd seen MORE than enough. How do you miss a 6 foot 5 receiver, completely over throw him on a crossing pattern when he's no more than 10 feet away. The guy is a joke!
-
Garrett been released?
And that guy who feels betrayed who's third string now, whatever his name his.
-
Garrett been released?
Forget last year's stats, this year, his stats are STILL the best of the rest. That's not an opinion. Like I said, his completion percentage is better, yards per game is better, as is his yards per completion.
-
Garrett been released?
Johnny Sears not a fan of the move. Here are a series of tweets: Winning is what i thouhgt the common goal was? I don't think it helps to let a great player in @TheChrisGarrett go and help another team!! Its hard to put you best foot forward without the other foot to step infront of! #ScratchingmyHead.. Real 1s always bounce back tho.
-
Garrett been released?
Agreed...aside from him having the best completion percentage, yards per game, and yards per completion, but hey, that doesn't mean nothing... There are facts, and there are opinions. You don't have to like the guy, or be a fan of his, but out of anyone on the current roster, he gives us the best chance to win on any given night. That, is fact.
-
Garrett been released?
Not a fan of the move either, but it`s a new regime and lots more changes will be coming as has already been said. Oh well.

The Next Canadian Quarterback?
Aside from Kerry Collins, and John Hufnagel, Penn State quarterbacks don't have much of a history at the professional level, just because of how the school typically runs its offences. Regardless, it's very cool that a Canadian kid is getting a shot at a big time Div. 1 program, especially in one of the top two conferences in the NCAA. Best of luck to him.

Patriots release Jason Vega
Same with Mulamba

Patriots release Jason Vega
A free agent, we no longer have his rights. We lead the league in sacks, do you still make a play? http://www.patriots.com/news/article-1/Patriots-sign-rookie-TE-Evan-Landi-Release-DL-Jason-Vega/731ee6f0-80d8-46bf-9686-7291d5ad1fcb

Kyle Walters Presser
I have to admit, I was VERY impressed with Kyle's answers and his clarity when it came to addressing certain questions. There was also some interesting comments from Miller that more or less suggested the interference in the past will no longer by present. Definitely a good watch IMO. http://www.bluebombers.com/video/index/id/87639

Ray Blm Collaros Or Tate?
Out of all the potential QB's who may be available though trade or free agency, this is the guy I'd personally want.
-
Burke Wanted Glenn
But only because it was Pierce, right? Coaches coach, managers manage. Period.
-
Burke Wanted Glenn
Really doubt Burke is going to bullshit given the way the man carries himself. He's honest to a fault.
