East Division Final - Ottawa over Hamilton
Feel bad for Gascon Nadon...shoulda had that INT that Burris gifted him, tho it wasn't an easy catch, per se.

West Division Final - Edmonton whips Calgary
He's got nothing to prove. Guy has done it all...best NI RB of all time, no questions. Retire with your head high and health relatively in tact.

I'd say Barley Bros! We haven't made definitive plans but I'm betting on Happy Hour Thurs at BBs. Or Friday at TD MB Social!!

East Division Final - Ottawa over Hamilton
He also probably wants to beat Hamilton. Not sure why people dislike him so much, even if he's had some bad games in big spots, he's one of the best players in league history, and seems like a good guy. even tells opposition players "good hit" and so on. also don't get the Ottawa hate. coaches seem like good guys, they obviously know what they're doing, not a dirty team. head scratcher. also one of Hamilton's best D lineman is out, I heard. Henry Burris is the first guy to take credit and the first guy to blame others. The absolute worst kind of teammate.

This will be a good game and I'm looking forward to watching it. May the better team on the day win.

East Division Final - Ottawa over Hamilton
If the weather's nice, Ottawa has a shot. But I do wanna see Hank look like an ******* at some point. Whether it's this week or next. Tho **** Kent Austin too.... No winners in this game.

Around The League Off Season Discussion
...Lawless says Riders looking at Ottawa Asst GM and John Murphy as potential new GM. Have asked for permission to speak to both. Fwiw.

Choice of channels coming to cable TV packages soon.
We watch a ton of current stuff on regular TV, and most of it is available through streaming sites, but I still like my Telus satellite for live sports (best HD going) and the PVR is nice, too. I guess I'm old school, but I don't think I'll ever be a cord cutter. We have TVMC and use it for movies.

Whiskey of the Year
I can't let a whisky discussion go by without mention of my personal favourite rye whisky: the girlfriend's grandfather's home batch from the Sandy Lake area south of Riding Mountain. To this day, the best pure whisky I've ever had. Unfortunately in extreme limited supply these days.

Grey Cup Ticket Sales
If the Bombers were playing in the Grey Cup in Winnipeg, the profits and attendance to all functions would be better. The Riders cashed in on that in 2013. Put BC and Hamilton in that game, and the atmosphere the whole week would have been drastically different. At this point, that's not really possible, as most events are completely sold out....

Well, it's a grey area.....technically, it's not ILLEGAL......

Whiskey of the Year
rye and pepsi max. If I'm drinking with my old man at Christmas or something, then it's rye and ginger...perfect for sitting around playing cards.

Whiskey of the Year
40 Creek is a great whisky, as is White Owl. But there is nothing wrong with Crown....a fantastic rye whisky. Jack Daniels is a bourbon, and that's a whole 'nother beast.

Thought this was fantastic. I do love me some crown...

Grey Cup Ticket Sales
It's been mentioned many many times on this site that the team makes most of its money from the festival events which are sold out or very close to. The game is just a bonus. They are set to make a VERY large amount of money from hosting this year when it's all said and done.

They're going to make individual channels insanely expensive to make up the difference and it's just going to drive more people to TVMC and other Kodi based stuff.

Shopping trip to the beer store? **** yes! Bring some of that Arrogant Bastard if it hit the shelves yet. That's actually out of some place in the states, I just happened to find it in one liquor store randomly. There's some decent offerings from local stuff here that I think would be the way to go. They're small enough at this moment that they won't have much distribution outside of Alberta or even Calgary yet that are a worthwhile try. The debate would be whether to bring IPAs and other hoppy things or go for a wider variety. There's stuff we think is great beer, but "Does Mike only want IPAs?" has been the question...

A decade from now ...
I believe our GC tix are in the north endzone just below the Rum Hut. Sitting with a buddy who's a season ticket holder. Mildly concerned at just how insane that concourse is going to be during GC....

We'll be an easy crew to find, even in a big social hall like this, because Dave's 6'4" and his big shiny bald spot on the back of his head stands out like a beacon!

Last Best is the Banff/Jasper Brew Co, and they just opened up a shop in YYC, I believe. They do have some decent stuff... If you're ever out in Banff, go to the Banff Brew Co brew-pub and try their sampler...
