going back to Judge for a second... he's been playing hurt for most of this year, and still looked damn good last night. He was a guy I really liked in that draft year, but took a bit to come into his own. Deferring to the Booch's and JBRs of the world.... is he a guy that can be a Bighill replacement at MACK full time? Not sure what his contract status is, but he seems like a guy that would be an interesting pick up in FA....

that was a bit different because the coordinators knew that the coach and GM didn't have contracts, so they didn't want to get into that situation. Potential HC/GMs will be given extended contracts so at least there's some stability. They'll, in theory, be able to hire some better people this time around. Just a matter of whether or not they do it right or **** it up again.... here's hoping for a colossal **** up!

I've been thinking about that... but I think different things are being asked of them. Strev was more limited capacity. An "every down, multiple routes being run" receiver likely requires more stability... but that's just a guess.

100% this. Couldn't agree more. As soon as I get back home full time I'll definitely be spending money on going to Jets games. If I can get in on a group, I might even go in on some seasons....

regarding Schoen and the rest of this season, this is from the Winnipeg Sun today: “This is just my homeboy, so I’m representing him out here, keeping him with us a little bit,” Wolitarsky said. “It’s a big hit. We feel that. We’re just going to be there for him. A lot of us have been through injuries and this is his first real injury, big injury.” It is becoming increasingly clear that the Bombers will be without Schoen for at least the rest of the CFL regular season.

Osh will NEVER reveal a player's injury situation. All he said in addition to "Nope" on the update, was that they're confident they have a lot of really good players who understand the entire offense from all the angles, so they can step up and play any of the receiver positions.
