I have got to say, I am more interested in free agency this year, than I believe I ever have been before. Really hoping for some marquee Bomber signings. Lets go Walters, change some minds!

Intriguing..... the Bombers making moves to improve? That is Unpossible. I like the move. I like the attempts to improve. I like that we aren't sitting around watching potential improvements just pass us by.

Refreshing that our new management might actually dive into free agency, and make some offers.... instead of just re-signing everyone from the previous season and thinking that is good enough.

I will say Kohlert, and possibly Laurent... I think we strike out out FA OL's... Imagine how different things could have been if we had taken Laurent instead of Poblah in the supplemental draft..... if ifs and buts were candy and nuts...

Really though, this is what a football team should be doing every year. Bring in and evaluate talent, and if they can improve your team, keep them around.

Honestly, I would have liked to have seen more of Jade. He showed flashes last year. I hope that the Willy signing, in advance of Free Agency, makes it easier to convince players to come here once free-agency hits. I would think it would be difficult to convince receivers or OL to come here when they don't know who their QB is.

I think the perception that he is option C is misguided. We are talking free-agents, and there is no guarantee that any player will sign with any team. Just assume Collaros resigned in TO, and then Burris isn't released..... then who would have been Option A?

I really hope this year's draft proves successfull for us. We really need a constant contributor with our #2 overall pick.

I would have thought Etienne would be signed by Sask as soon as the trade went through.... Who knows, maybe Jade comes back too LOL.

I was really really hoping to see more of Etienne this year. Like that we finally have a QB, but man do we need Kohlert back now.... hopefully see some new/productive non-imports this year!

In my opinion, Hank took the easy way out here. Tons of money, play for a team that has no pressure on them to be successful at all. In Winnipeg all the pressure would be on him to turn around the offence, and make the team successful again. Winning is expected/demanded in Winnipeg. In Ottawa showing up is probably good enough.

I think what is becoming very apparent it that if the Bombers want to sign FA's one thing has to happen: OVERPAY. Players don't want to come here it seems, and the only way to overcome that is to pay more money.

My guess? Won't. You would think he would want starter's money, and a starting spot..... but maybe he just doesn't want it in Winnipeg (and that is the main factor IMHO) Fingers crossed though...

So assuming he does sign.... how many years? 2 or 3?
