Why is it that when Messam changes uni's he looks great for awhile then disappears. I think we'd be better off sticking with Fitzgerald and bring him along. Fitzgerald is another wasted pick from Mack. Even his LS'ing is not good when the Bombers need replacement when Wild was injured. We need someone that D will respect when he has the ball. Messam might not be as explosive during his first year but how many times did he burn our D this year? Agreed. Fitzgerald is not a rookie and has not been for some time. He needs to come to training camp with the expectation that he will either show more than he has or be gone. He has shown a few flashes of promise,but after awhile that is not enough. How is he supposed to show more when the offense barely uses the TE/FBs on the roster? It might have something to do with the OC's and the QB's confidence in him too. Or how about the fact that offences in the CFL these days runs mostly a 1 back set and the FB/TE is only a situation position and used sparingly as a tendency breaker and nothing more.

I am glad I'm not the only one. I mean sitting around playing golden eye or mario kart was always fun, and still is, but this sitting by yourself playing against or with people you don't know at all over the internet is just weird. Sometimes I just want to play a good solo game but it seems that those games are few and far between because everyone has to jump on board the multi player bandwagon.

The stat I like about Crompton is that he threw six picks in his first three games but just three picks in the eight games since (including the semifinal) The guy has cleaned up his game real nice. Whether it's the coaching making the game simpler for him or him just making better decisions, that seems like a pretty impressive turnaround. Also, Montreal beat Calgary pretty bad in the back half of the season. Their turnaround wasn't all a mirage. but was that not a game in which Calgary wasn't playing BLM and Cornish?

No I don't think so, there's good coaches in the CFL from both sides of the border.

I think the international defensive backs are on a completely different level than the national ones that that is the biggest difference going. Hell the entire defensive unit for the internationals is probably too good compared to the nationals. Offensively I agree (qb aside) that it's closer than people might think, but defensively I think it's a huge edge to the internationals.

You sure can, and when you add them up you can plainly see that the defense is responsible for less losses than any of the other facets of the team.

Are you kidding? That's started a long time ago. Actually it goes away and comes back in regular intervals the way "Fire Hall !" used to. All the while Chamblin somehow is blameless. When Rider fans have it in their head somebody is untouchable (chamblin) gawd help you if you're not on that list.(cortez) Which is hilarious because to my eyes Chamblin cost them 2 wins early in the season with his ridiculousness regarding his running backs and god knows how many games he cost them with his quarterback yo-yo in the last half of the season. Chamblin has his share of warts for what happened to that team this year without question.

You love to characterize folks who disagree with you as anti-Etch haters. I'm anti-losing and the reality is that Etch is a big part of the Bombers losing so often this year. In your fantasy world, Etch will suddenly become a better DC who suddenly produces an above average defense when he hasn't done it in the past. That's not likely to ever happen. No in my world the defense was good enough to win with and some improvements to the roster (notably defensive line and maybe not using a weakness like Sherman at linebacker) can improve the underlying stats and it is a much bigger priority to address the problems on the offense. You though would ***** and moan about anything that wasn't best in the league. I am simply arguing against this idea that the defense is a big reason for this team losing games. It isn't, plain and simply they gave the team chances to win more nights than not and if you can't see that then yes, you are just a blind Etch hater.
