Disgusting that cons in this country are full on just using buzz words that mean nothing like woke rather than presenting legitimate criticisms of things and proposing a better way to do things. I know it's been trending this way for a long long time but I am just so tired of this kind of politics. Why can't all these assholes getting paid well off our tax money actually work together for the betterment of everyone as a whole?

I know you don't like him but to me Parker seems to be picked on more than Holm. Bottom line both on the same side is trouble.

Dane Evans absolutely raped them and if faj was any kind of qb he could have done it too. That side of the secondary with Parker and Holm is an absolute sore spot and needed help in the worst way. Teams are just absolutely going after Parker especially.

it sure was. All god damned day the rider fans were the mouthiest most annoying garbage you've ever experienced and then the obnoxiousness reached new levels after that kick was missed... except you could clearly see the flag was thrown and that it was against the riders. Once they announced the penalty you could literally hear the deflation among their fans and they got real quite. It was glorious. until being there for the 2019 Grey Cup it was maybe the best football experience I've been to.

Matt Nichols had his best years here.... no ****! He was always hurt in edmonton and winnipeg was the only place he got to play. Nichols came in and played great and gradually got worse the longer he stayed to the point where he got his shoulder crippled. (Hey khari got his shoulder crippled too, go Lapo!)

You just don't pay attention though... I give lapo his credit for generally being a smart guy who does have a decent playbook. I just trash the **** out-of him (deservedly so) for his arrogance, outsmarted himself, passive play calling, and horrible in game awareness. Essentially if you just le him draw up plays he might be ok but calling a game? Terrible. Also really going to disagree that he changed the offense to suit strevers strengths. He made streveler one dimensional. Guy who came in as a rookie and could pass suddenly can't because of the changes to the offense? Lapo likes his gimmicks.

Will never understand why Paul Lapolice has so many apologists... Man has the same problems follow him around everywhere he goes but remains blameless in some people's eyes.

Has to be one of the all time most naturally gifted athletes going right? To be that good without putting in the work is astounding.

01 I don't hold against Roberts, the one that bugs me is 2007. In a game you know you need to lean on a guy like him with a rookie qb getting his first start there's no excuses to show up in the alleged condition he did.

based purely on his on field work 100%. Guy is a legend not only for the bombers but league wide. Just a shame that his lack of professionalism sour people's memory of the guy.

to be fair we were cherry picking what we watched... I don't think it's a case of athletes being so much different, just a change in how guys are used and what type of player is being used at what positions. from 2001 through to now you've basically seen a dramatic evolution in what passes for a linebacker in the CFL. early 2000s was 3 pretty traditional linebackers which became one linebacker being pretty purely a DB position to the point now where your other outside linebacker better be pretty damned good in coverage and your middle linebacker needs the versatility as well to be all over the field. I don't think there's a huge transformation in athletes from then to now, more just improvements in the ability to keep players healthy and recover better from injuries.

you don't think you could drop 2001 era Doug Brown into todays game and have him still be a top player? The biggest difference on the defensive lines right now IMO is that everyone uses heavy rotations to keep players fresh moreso than a dramatic change.
