  1. They need to wash them in bleach to get the colour of the actual 70s-80s-90s jerseys.
  2. Willy: 22-25 325 3 TDs against the Riders. Think he fits just fine.
  3. That is not unique. You pretty much described the roster management that every professional sports team goes through, every team has a structure, they aren't making decisions in a vacuum. Different managers place different values on certain positions and factors. Muamba would be comparable to Cornish in terms of Canadians playing traditional import positions, break the bank-ers. There aren't many teams paying running backs as much as Calgary does, basically them and BC. True, but if you use Cornish as a comparison, does Muamba bring the same level of on-field impact that Cornish does knowing their on opposite sides of the ball? Muamba plays every snap on D and probably every special team. At his peak Cornish played 2/3 of the offensive snaps and got 17 touches a game. Fantuz, Getzlaf and Cornish are all in the $225,000 neighbourhood, and there are a handful of offensive linemen up there too. I think Muamba will be the highest paid Canadian in the league if he comes back.

  5. In zone run blocking the back reads the blocks and hits the gap he finds. The call isn't going to a certain gap, it's right or left, and mostly up to the back and the blocking which is based on the defensive front. Looks to me like Walker is extremely hesitant, he did a lot of shuffling last night, which could be physical or mental (can't read the blocking), and our line is pretty terrible too. Even when Walker got the ball once on a run play and once on a screen well outside of the tackle with a ton of space he barely got going before the Riders closed in. I don't quite think his speed has ever matched the hype, and that's been for years. He's worse than Grigsby.
  6. We really have to start teaching capology in our schools...basic math too.
  7. 2.. both of his fumbles.First one Stanley Bryant got burned. I'd blame that one more on Stanley. And the other on Longo... He only had one fumble in the pocket, and that was on both guys on the left side, simplest twist in football beat them that time and about 10 other snaps. The fumble on the Nichols run is on him. Gotta realize that the guys you ran by as they went upfield are coming back, secure the ball.
  8. "Once I realized I was caught on video, I immediately apologized."

Leggett can do a lot of things. He's able to show that being closer to the LOS. I liked their 30 fronts with all the backers on the field. Hurl has been playing very well and now taking on more of a role on 2nd downs in recent weeks.
  10. Longo and Bryant were getting beat on the simplest twist all night. LB blitzes into LT, DE loops around into the LT's inside gap. All night. Nichols got the ball out pretty quick for the most part, but took some shots too. That twist was used on his first fumble.
  11. There is an ignore function, and it is useful.

Really. If this game doesn't get the American punter on the roster and Stoudermire off of it, I'm not sure what Hajrullahu and Stoudermire have to show in terms of negative play to get sat/lose the punting job. Hajrullahu's miscues around punting are costing us points every game.
  13. I believe the direct snap to Briggs on the punt fake was an O'Shea twist that we wouldn't have seen previously under.....whatever his name was. Yep, first punt fake we've run in a long time. Special teams coach would put the fakes into the gameplan based on the other teams tendencies, but that call always comes from the head coach.
  14. That's pretty much it. Nichols did enough in the first half to lose this game if we're playing anyone but Brett Smith, who can't pass the ball to save his life. Nice to have a QB who has a clue in the passing game again.
  15. Because they proved it with success on the field. Hoping these lead bars will turn to gold is truly insane That success didn't come overnight. It was built on a foundation that was years in the making. Because they proved it with success on the field. Hoping these lead bars will turn to gold is truly insane That success didn't come overnight. It was built on a foundation that was years in the making. This is where I don't agree. Hamilton was able to turn it around in a few years, Ottawa for pete's sake is likely better than us. I realize we lost our starter but there should not be that such difference between starter and backup. We got beat last Sunday by a third stringer. That is the responsibility of the guys who were tasked to assemble a good team. I don't like where we are but am willing to give them another year to get it done. Many have said they needed three years so OK Kyle and Mike, please..... There's no doubt that our level of talent import wise is noticeably worse than pretty much any other team in the league, Saskatchewan would be in the same ballpark. Both relying on veterans beyond their best before date and some who were never really that good. That is a huge sign of weakness on the personnel side. It's hard to can Walters and not let the replacement pick his coach, but really Walters, Goveia, McManus have failed.

Hope they put in some running play outside of the tackles instead of up the middle constantly, i would also like to see the bombers try and go no huddle for the first series. Hope the OL block somebody on any play.
  17. I think that this shows, based on their record, our record, and the fact that they have walloped us a few times in the last year, that they are a much better coached team… And that basically outside of Sorensen none of those guys are counted on for much in Edmonton.
  18. Should help our 2016 draft picks increase in value. The 6 game injured list can help, but gotta believe a lot of those guys have hefty bonuses paid out before a game is even played, unless they somehow structure contracts differently in Hamilton.

That's only if you start 7 NI's. If you start more, you will have imports who aren't "starters" who aren't DI's either.
  20. It won't until the coaches/managers move of the fixation of plugging the majority of the NI's in on the OL, regardless of the capability of the players, while they use a bunch of imports on the DL. It's been bad for awhile, gotten worse with Ottawa returning and rosters expanding allowing teams to add another import DL in many cases. The supply of American pass rushers is much more plentiful than Canadian offensive linemen.

3-4 seconds eh. Wonder if that takes into account the full second it takes for the ball to get to the QB Plus the half second it takes for him to get his eyes up after pulling the snap off his shoe.
  22. No they can't. The league can and the PA can grieve it. The limit for the team/coach is very low, was something like $75 in the last CBA.Players can be fined up to half their game cheque, but only by the league office. O'Shea confirmed on the last CJOB Coach's Show that teams can in fact fine half a game cheque. But he said anything beyond $75 goes into another fund that doesn't go to the players. He said the league office can fine up to half a paycheque and that the PA would be involved. An angry coach is not able to take half a players paycheque. You really think the PA would allow that?

  24. Which severely limits your options, basically to people who nobody wants. Generally people with opportunities for other jobs have been saying thanks but no thanks when the Bombers put together their shortlist in the last decade because of how dysfunctional the organization has been.
  25. How would you like a coach to deal with penalties? The players are under scrutiny and will lose their jobs if it becomes an issue. He can hand out minor fines, he can put them on the spot in front of their teammates and on film. That's about it. Should Johnny Adams be benched?
