  1. Yeah Willie doesn't rush much. He reads QB eyes. Garbutt is steady to keep running type QB's in pocket but not explosive at all. Haba brings nothing. Must be good on kickoff return assignments or something.
  2. Griffin was out there too.
  3. Reading slant/curl/skinny post. Alexander cheated to offensive right.
  4. I see it as we basically have 2 LB's on the field to do one job right now. And it was even worse when Wilson was still in. I don't get why anyone wouldn't just run on us until we draw down Alexander/Kramdi at the very least.
  5. There's not a QB in the league who can make that throw you're describing. In a game anyways. That's a young receiver mistake to not stem a bit longer then flatten out to get it in stride instead of just running 15 yards then angling to the post for another 40.
  6. Mario Alford lifted Paul Stanley from KISS eye paint.
  7. All 6 OL on. Eli as the tight end.
  8. Lucky just has no explosion left. Good vet slot receiver.
  9. Smart play call by Sask to get a vertical on isolated corner. Bonds just made the play.
  10. Tentative all the way around.
  11. The absolutely most useless thing to do vs Sask's style of offense is blitz. Gotta get pressure with 4 otherwise you want your guys in Harris' eyes down the field to slow him up. They'll run screens and quick stuff, rally and tackle.
  12. They have some truly awful segments now and not enough interviews with players/coaches.
  13. CJOB really needs to get some people who know anything about football on their broadcast. Death to listen to without DB (as in Doug Brown, not Bauming).
  14. Sanchez said in the pre-game that this is the first time he's thought BC's receiving corps was outmatched by the opposing secondary. Wow was he wrong. And I guess he missed 2 of the 3 last games BC played where they could barely get a first down against Bombers secondary....with two "MOP" QB's.
  15. In terms of pass...tighter formations to bunch up D, create some space wide for screens, also attack vertical immediately...like QB is going to that outside vertical unless they line two guys up on that guy pre-snap...the "50-50" balls....cut the reads down to basically 2. Have checks into runs if D remains wide/deep. You see on a ton of our plays our LB's are dropping immediately to 8-10 yards, so that's the space to attack. Run and use screens to avoid 2nd and long.
  16. Haba over Adams continues to be their favourite mistake. If you want an impactful edge guy, find a better one. If you want a more impactful guy based on who is on the team today, dress Adams.
  17. Watching that makes me sad that we haven't found/brought in another pass rusher to make it really go. That's when you just become lethal at turning the ball over...like we were from 2016-2022
  18. Yeah BC has played the majority of their snaps on D with 5 Canadians on the field. They lost some Cottoy snaps but Mackie took some of those. Usually 5-6 on O. We'll have a hard time being anywhere near them if Rourke plays the rest of the season.
  19. Who have been our best guys since Collaros has been here? The guys he seeks out? Adams, Lawler, Ellingson, Schoen, Wolitarsky, mix in a bit of Bailey. Then you have the shots to Demski and guys like that. All 6'1, over 200 lbs. Once we lost Schoen and Lawler our offense changed significantly without any vertical threat. And we had 20 American rookie receivers in camp. I think 3 of the 20 fit the profile of Collaros type targets. Wheatfall made the team, Alston got brought back. There's enough guys around to bring in 7-8 guys like that instead of 3 or 4. But it's pretty easy to tell they were thinking "we have Lawler, Schoen, Wolitarsky" so we're covered and they were very specifically looking for someone like Wilson to fit around those guys so they brought 15 of them to camp.
  20. He isn't. He can adjust to deep balls but generally needs a very accurate ball to have a shot. Haven't really seen him take a lot of contested balls aside from the Calgary game when he went off. He needs space. I'm talking about guys who have range and can get the ball covered or not.
  21. Well I don't expect them to run a 4.4. There's tons of 6'3-6'4 guys up here.
  22. He's getting better as an adjustment to our group of receivers minus Schoen. I just don't understand why basically every receiver we brought in this year was 6' 180 lbs except for a couple. Collaros loves vertical. We need catch radius guys like Lawler, Schoen, Wolitarsky style even.
  23. Basically the Western teams use it extensively. BC has a territorial exemption receiver on PR who is a legit CFL prospect. One of Calgary's best special teamers was a territorial exemption two years ago. Cottoy was a territorial exemption. Logan Ferland was for Sask.
  24. The rouge being an issue is sad. Everyone knows the rules…so maybe don’t hand the ball over to the other team on your own 35 in the last minute and then complain that you lost in a tied game? Only rule I absolutely hate is the forced kickoff under 3 mins. You play 57 mins with one set of rules after a FG then change. Rouge is fine…it’s a reward for field position and makes the game far more strategic.
