In the 80's the NFL was Billy Idol while the CFL was Roger Whitaker. Oh have times changed.- Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
Sj green is unbelievable- Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
Hickman what a dumb dumb- Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
Two days later Nik Lewis was found dead after trying to eat himself. Pizza the Hut died in a similar way.- Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
Chris Berman can get away with being cornball because he is funny and entertaining. Black trying the same thing just doesn't work.- Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
Wow what a stuff on the goal line.- Non-Bomber Week 4 GDT
This bridge will not cross. Brilliant Rod. Just brilliant.- Bomber injury updates
What was funny to me was after almost every big defensive play Hurl would finally get to the scene of the tackle at the end of the play (as he was usually 20 yards away from the ball for some reason) and try to give all the Bomber D high fives and fist bumps and most of them just turned and walked away. Pretty hilarious. Not sure why he has to do that either, but I wish he would just go join the cheerleaders on the sideline.- Bomber injury updates
What's with all of the Peach hate? I guess I don't know enough about DL play to have an informed opinion either way. I do know watching Hurl play that that isn't what I want my MLB doing. If I can see it, it must be pretty blatant.- Five players fined after week 3.....Picard!
I remember Chris Schultz saying how back in his day no one wanted to play against Winnipeg's D because they were so intimidating...- Attendance
I was watching Bob McCown the other day and one of the guys on the show was saying that once the Jays came to town it hurt the Argos because now Torontonians think they are too good for the CFL. "Who wants to see Toronto play a team from Saskatchewan when I can watch Toronto play the New York Yankees". Different sports of course, but the guy sounded like a typical Toronto putz and exactly the kind of person that makes sure Canada stays united in its universal hatred of Toronto.- It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...
I don't know about the Brink. I've been watching it but I'm not overly sold on it.- Five players fined after week 3.....Picard!
I remember Suitor saying something about how Picard might get hit in the pocketbook after one play but I can't remember what happened.- Bomber injury updates
Ryan Smith, Chad Owens and Weston Dressler say hello. I am starting to see why size doesn't really matter in the CFL at the receiver position. Speed is what kills.- Attendance
Keep in mind it is a Monday game for Calgary and it stormed like hell in parts of Calgary all afternoon and there was a chance of it storming again in the evening (even though it turned out nice) so it's not surprising there was a smaller turnout. Also --- it was the first day right after the calgary stampede ended. Historically there are two types of people in calgary. Those who stay in town for stampede and those who say screw this and plan vacations around stampede. It starts about a week before stampede and goes for a good week or two after --- lots of people pack up the rv's and leave town. Monday night game in calgary is also a no brainer for lack of attendance. We did have crappy weather that can turn in a dime --- I work not far from Mcmahon and we had nasty rain all afternoon then cleared up around 4pm. Either way --- traffic has been light all week telling you a ton of people simply are out of town. Toronto has attendance? LOL. They haven't had fans attending games since ... oh... 2007 In 2012 the averaged over 23000. For a city/drawing area of over 6 million? That's pretty impressive.- Edmonton Advice - Planning Road Trip for Bombers Away Game
Anyone notice that the Trivago guy this year looks like he actually went to a clothing store, and a barber, and also doesn't look like he's hung over?- At what point will O'Shea start going for 2?
On the contrary that eliminates the QB sprint to the corner. You can't lump Marve in with Goltz that easily. For all of Goltz's faults... he was actually pretty money in the redzone (just couldn't actually get the ball into the redzone) yeah red zone TD's and standing around in the background in commercials seems to be his thing.- Around the CFL Regular Season Discussion
I knew there was something fishy about that guy. His card was also a sponge. Works on a contingency? No! Money down.- Around the CFL Regular Season Discussion
This negotiation with the Ti-Cats was his biggest success since his lawsuit against the Never-Ending Story.- Bomber injury updates
https://twitter.com/Blitz_Turner/status/621695174972829697/photo/1 This picture was apparently taken last night at the Pony Corral, per Bryant Turner's tweet. No cast on his hand, so that's a good sign. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming No cast on BT's injured hand, which is a positive sign. He's likely out a couple weeks. #Bombers https://twitter.com/Blitz_Turner/status/621695174972829697 …- Summer Recruiting
was Sears hurt almost immediately afterwards?- Edmonton Advice - Planning Road Trip for Bombers Away Game
ahem. We are CFL fans...so we'll be loyal to our sponsors... in 2014 I had to have a triple bypass because I had eaten 4000 baconators in July alone.- Twitter Harrassment Trial - Ramifications for Free Speech?
We had a terrible case here in BC where John Furlong, the former CEO of the Vancouver Olympics, was wrongfully accused of sexual abuse in residential schools in the 1960's. It turns out the three accusers weren't even at the school when Furlong was there, but all of this came out much later after Furlong was dragged through a long trial. How does this stuff happen? Why? http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/john-furlong-accusations- Twitter Harrassment Trial - Ramifications for Free Speech?
