What does 1st overall get you anyway? Home ice in the final round of the playoffs? Right now all I care about is getting to Round 1 of the playoffs. Vancouver for many seasons ended up 1st overall (because they got to beat up on Calgary and Edmonton every year) and then crapped the bed in the playoffs most years, and ending up with crappy draft picks. I don't see the need to finish 1st over all other than for bragging rights, which really mean nothing.

LOL - hey we have a goalie who just passed concussion protocol! What do we do? Let's fire pucks at his head in the morning skate! I still remember reading Don Cherry's book and how Hilliard Graves was always shooting pucks at the goalies' heads in warm-up because he had no control of his shot. I laughed because I remembered Graves played for Winnipeg and how much he stunk when he played for the Jets.

ha ha yeah I saw Comrie following the team in to the locker room the other night and I honestly thought that was some teenage kid they were allowing to sit on the bench in goalie gear for some reason. Then I saw "Comrie" on his back and started laughing at my own stupidity. The CR I was drinking at the time probably also weighed into it...

I will just add that I don't see how it helps to make all of this rape/sexual harrassment stuff political (I am trying hard not to do that myself) or about religion. It seems more about a culture that needs to be changed. I honestly don't understand what goes on in the minds of Roy Moore or Anthony Wiener, or what kind of perverse power trip you have to be on to text under-age girls pictures of your junk.
