  1. Broxton sure. McGlouster has been mostly on practice rosters. Lofton started for the Riders, on an abyssmal OL.
  2. Not 0 concerns for me. They've been starting the same tackles for quite a few seasons. It's been a while since the scouting department has unearthed an OT who became a starter for the Bombers.
  3. Well, I don't think anyone said the playoffs were 'unpaid' - because playoff money is a thing.
  4. Then our debate is basically a coin flip. 1a) They get paid 1 b) They might keep their NFL dream alive Yes, both of those require drive and dedication.
  5. Rest easy, Mr. Ploen. Thankfully your suffering is over.
  6. Interesting debate here. Considering the toll that football takes on the body, I would lean more towards guys playing for the $$ and the travel opportunities. Yeah, you an make practice roster money pretty much anywhere, but entry level contracts are $75 000 ($55 000 USD) for a 6 month season - that's not money you make just anywhere
  7. Speaking of that - who was coverguy3?
  8. Gone are days when everything went to crap because Ike Charlton was injured. 😅
  9. Yeah, both were terrible in the trenches last year - had no where to go but up
  10. It takes less than a minute to send an email.
  11. Exactly this. It's all well and good to be fans of the game, make posts and state opinions on a football forum. But most of us have never been out there putting our bodies on the line. In many games, he was our best defender. Heck, even fans of other teams said it. Congrats on a great career, JJ.
  12. Stuff like this is why the CFL is the only pro league that I still watch.
  13. it seems to me that would be easier to do when signing with a contender...you pretty much know you're getting play off money...up to $23 000

    Your feelings don't matter.
  15. This. The way the roster is built, BO could have an American back up.
  16. Or maybe desperate. Truth is, he's better than any of the tackles they started last year, and it's not even close.
  17. Wane Mcgarrity will be the answer to my prayers.
  18. $230 K for an import tackle....BO is probably thinking someone will pay him...
  19. I'm not sure where I read that he has played tackle?
  20. One thing posters have been saying did come true...that the Riders would overpay to get good offensive linemen. Mind you, that was a low hanging fruit prediction - O'Day is trustworthy when it comes to those. But good for Yoshi, he deserves to be paid. I just hope he ends up cashing in on all of it. Things just got interesting on the OL. I suspect Richmond will be the new starting tackle, based on how long he's hung around. HOWEVER, Manase Foketi could tell us something about how that works out. If Gray can get the job done, that spot becomes very interesting, because Eli could probably be his back up. They could also seriously consider going with an American RB, or fielding one less Canadian receiver. Another option would be going all import on Defense. As Booch always says...tasty
  21. Why does your name sound like...you own murderers?
  22. Your frost is melting.
  23. You sure? Their D is very good, especially the front 7. Not saying repeat, but a decent team.
  24. Ya, MBT is at least serviceable and actually has a pretty decent durability history.
  25. Edmonton has had terrible OL play for years - all the way back to Mike Reilly and even Ricky Ray.
