I don’t know. I find that most teams go with 2 American OTs, which leaves them with 1 or 2 Canadian receivers starting. I mean no one else starts a national at RB and defensive linemen are American more often than not.

Looking at the last 2 or 3 years, your culture comment makes some sense. Including to first two where there was serious rebuilding to do, is just not credible. You can’t find bread to make toast with when the cupboard is bare.

You know - when I think back, they ran almost the exact same offense when Kevin Glenn was our QB. Short passes, quick release and feed chuck diesel.

And of course you include all five years in that analysis - making sound like its all about a better culture and that culture is a failure. No consideration for the poor team and the bare cupboard this regime inherited.

Interesting comments on receivers in this thread. It seems the possibility of 1 or 2 being unearthed in training camp is completely off our radar.

Does not compute. Calgary passing game was not that great - BLM threw for only 60 yards more than Nichols. No D in the CFL will ever shut him down entirely. The OL protection was ok but Nichols left the pocket as soon as there was a hint of pressure.

The truth is - Calgary did not play very well today. With an even semi-competent QB, we get the win today. Even with the QB play we got, we could have won if all opportunities had been cashed in. Calgary D played well, but it’s easy to shut down the run when the passing game is that bad. Ottawa definitely has a good offence - they will move the ball consistently. I think the Grey Cup goes East again. Any other predictions?
