Yes. Then we'll be asked to stay home again...while people keep flying...

2021 Season
So, when exactly did Canada emulate U.S. Covid policy? When did we follow their lead?

2021 Season
Leaving should be fine as long as people don't linger.

Game 32 : @ Vancouver
Yeah, obstruction penalties in the NHL are like holding in the CFL - a few token calls to pretend they care...

Covid-19
I doubt this has much to do with people living in Regina. Those variants were brought in via flights, which is exactly what is happening in MB.

Wheat is just one crop - multiple factors have led to the demise of small farms, including corporate buyers showing up on doorsteps with offers that farmers just can't refuse.

Oil is clearly trending down and will stay there. But anyone who complains about grain prices is just not paying attention. There are good prices available if you watch the markets and forward contract. And, you can get specialty contracts for crops like high quality oats and malting barley. And all that has nothing to do with ANY government. That was a reasonably good government that also won ridings out here in the rural West. But I am never sure if they can be classified as Liberals - Liberals don't normally slash billions in transfer payments.

They will continue to win their irrelevant prairie landslides.

Then I guess the Jets are who they are. If you can't defend effectively against elite talent, you are going to have a very short playoff run.

Game 32 : @ Vancouver
That was pre-game show's 'explanation' for the recent poor defensive play

Same thing in rural MB. What's App statuses and Instagram stories were a real treat - during the Feb. cold snap.

Apparently O'Toole was pushing for the resolution to pass. Even when they have a leader who's on board, they stay stuck in the mud.

It was true at the time...but it's a moot point now, due to the carbon tax and other levies. From the link you posted above, the biggest factor appears to be lower gas prices, which makes sense Back in the early 2000s, we decreased our heating bill by 80%, when we switched from propane to coal That ship has clearly sailed. I'd imagine the guy quoted in the article is pretty happy to be burning renewables right now.

College / Uni was and still is - mostly remote learning in MB.

I can't wrap my brain around those numbers. Until we had environmental levies and carbon taxes, coal was the cheapest energy source, especially when you needed large amounts of heat, such as for mass livestock operations. Any other energy source was not even close, even with freight included.

The writing was on the wall - all other provinces have just one bargaining unit for teachers - this is good because there will be more equity across the province Most school trustees get elected by acclamation. Now that they'll no longer be bargaining contracts locally, their elimination was inevitable.

They have run good candidates in my riding, even federally. The name escapes me, but one was a former CBC journalist. Bezan (PC) won easily as usual.

It's in this thread somewhere.

I believe this has been pointed out before. Oil is cheap enough for Ontario & Quebec to source it elsewhere, should Line 5 get shut down. If we're counting on oil to pay for them - that ship sailed quite a while ago.

And it will go to the Liberals. They only thing to be decided is whether it will be a majority or a minority.

If that's the case, it's something a team cannot afford. That's a lousy reason to lose a centre of Dubois' calibre.

Totally agree with your assessment of politics in the south west. That Liberal MP you mention (David Iftody) was actually quite effective - but that does not seem to matter. Same story up here in Selkirk Interlake. As for Trudeau being less popular, I think the NDP are losing ground and the Libs will pick up some of their lost seats. I think Con support will stay the same - rock solid in inconsequential Tory strongholds, while the Libs will win the swing ridings.
