Your comment is a contradiction.. If hes and upgrade we should attempt to sign him at a rate that we can justify. If he is a great RB, then he should be a great RB on a team that can setup similar situations for him to excel.. But seeing what has happened here the past 5 years, i guess we might not be able to create the situation. So no simpson, or ford.. Then who? I can see us letting ford walk if he is really overpriced, but why Simpson? The rate we could justify paying for Sheets is not a rate he will accept. On top of that, he's already said he will go back to Saskatchewan if the NFL doesn't pan out.

I like Gilmore but knowing that Etch is our DC makes it easier to understand why we wouldn't bring him back.

I'll never understand why Matthews took so much heat last year. He stuck it out right until the very end while he was stuck on the sidelines. He had NFL interest and he still stayed up here in a throwaway season to stick it out. He could've packed his bags, gone home and started prepping for the NFL. I have a lot of respect for him. Would love to have him back.

Of course Sheets is an upgrade. There's no reason for us (or any team other than Saskatchewan) to pursue him though. He'd cost a bundle and there's just no sense in paying a RB proven in one system to come play in another.

I'm thinking Dan West and JT Gilmore in Toronto, Akeem Foster might find work in Calgary and Mainor to Hamilton. Ford maybe to Ottawa?

I actually have to say that IF Collaros works out, Hamilton could easily be the Grey Cup favorites. They've finally built themselves one hell of a team. Collaros, Gable, Ellingson, Fantuz, Grant, Giguere on offense Their defense leaves a lot to be desired, but their Cancon on D is very good and if their DL can make strides, they could be real good. Losing Lawrence hurts, but they've still got a lot to work with.

I think I'd go with a B grade. We got what probably amounts to, at worst, 3 starters and at best, 4 and I'd say all 4 of the players we brought in were guys that other teams wanted so it's not like we picked up scraps. Add in the fact that 2 of them are Canadian and I'd be giving us an A had we not missed out on the big fish we really wanted (Butler) Not addressing the OL hurts, but I don't think Myddelton was an answer so I wouldn't complain too much about that. I do want to see it addressed in a trade though ... somehow.

Exactly, but once you reach a point where training is no longer something you "have" to do and is something you "love to do" your methods have to change. Thats why it's a shame to me when you read about athletes who hate working out. If they learned to love the process as much as the end goal, their results would improve. Getting way off topic, but what you're saying actually holds a lot of merit. There are certain lifts I do where I can't help but put down the phone, put down the music and just focus. If I'm just going through the motions and hitting the free weights, the music is probably in and I'm probably fiddling around. But if I'm doing something where I have to rack plates and get in the zone, I treat it more business like because I enjoy it more and take it seriously. Cardio though ... if I couldn't have my music during a cardio session, I'd probably off myself.

Could be, but I'm pretty certain Winnipeg will get him back. There are certain things teams can do to position themselves well to bring back a guy if he comes back from the NFL. Winnipeg has done all of them.

I think they might feel like Terrell Parker is their solution in the middle.

Great hustle guy, has a lot of confidence in his athleticism and sometimes he suffers for it. When he's on, he's an above average corner. Oh and expect some stupid penalties.
