Taman has the highest paid Canadian receiver by a mile, Popp has highest paid receiver and Wally is paying huge for a pair of LB's yet Desjardins is the only GM ruining the league with out of this world contracts? I don't get it. Can't say for sure as there's no evidence that Desjardins was after any of the players that the Bombers signed. Ottawa signed SirVincent Rogers before the Bombers signed Bryant so it looks like he was their priority for Import O-lineman. Some comments from Walters suggested that this was also the Bombers grading of the two. Anyone know what $$ Rogers signed for? Heard Rogers got $140k per season. Bryant got $160k. Rogers was seen as more attractive if the two because of perceived value. In my opinion Walters ended up getting amazing value from Bryant. I honestly wouldn't of complained if we paid 200K for Bryant. Yeah totally agreed.

I'd take Toston for camp competition. Always blew my mind that Saskatchewan never gave him a better look, only knock on him is that he can't catch the ball worth ****. But as a big back to chew up tough yards, I'd take him. Certainly don't want him in there as our starting RB but with the Canadian depth we've developed on defense, we may not need 3 designated imports on defense this year, leaving a spot for Stoudermire (I guess technically he's on defense) and an offensive guy.

Teams know how to use the media as a tool to push their agenda. Some of what they say is truthful, some of what they say is out there as a smokescreen because that's the message the front office wants out there, especially around FA time and draft time. For example ... one "reporter said such and such in public" example in this thread is literally the exact opposite of what they said to me in private. And what they said in private happened. For what it's worth, I was told by a couple people today that the Bombers are out on Curran. EDIT - out on Curran could obviously mean if the price goes any higher. My guess is they've made their offer, it's not the highest offer but they'd still pay it if Curran opted to come here.

I'm going to patent "item that does something" and sue the hell out of everyone.
