There's the positive attitude we should be seeing after a Bomber victory!

No .. the Riders should simply lose tonight .. this way I don't have to hear about their "miraculous win" ad naseum for the next month ..

What prompted the unnecessary roughness call? I completely missed it .. I know Adams looked confused .. "What did I do?" type thing .. just never saw what he actually did ..

I'll say this .. I can't recall a time where Glenn ever put a team on his back and led them to a win .. elevated the play of people around him .. or inspired his teammates to continue to battle and fight like Willy did for his guys last night.

One thing I loved was how guys kept fighting .. I know both Bryant and Daniels got nicked up and were hobbling around .. both stayed in there until the end .. love seeing these guys battling for each other.

Im starting to dislike Cotton. He was like a newcomer on this offense out there considering he is the starting RB. I would like us to promote Marshall up, move Scott as #2 and sit Cotton for now. I hate to be negative on such a positive day, but that's probably because MB's running plays aren't very good. His plays do well with Marshall cause Marshall just pounds it through. It makes a big difference when the RB can push the pile and get 5 yards on first down rather than 2 or 3. Makes everyone's job easier. I'll take 5 yards a run all night long.

He did it a few times last year, early in the season .. but last night was a great example of a player putting a team on his back and willing them to win .. we got a solid game on both sides of the ball .. but it started and ended with a guy, coming off an injury .. where people may be questioning him a bit .. and laying it all on the line.

Irritated the hell out of me .. especially on one specific special teams play .. Bombers punt team hustles out on the field and really caught BC changing personnel and the refs basically ground that advantage into nothingness ..

Let's see if they tie the Riders of 1979. Started 0-12. Nope. We play you before we are 12 games into the season. (: Already 0-1 on that count ..

Has anyone ever figured out exactly what the Bombers ended up paying the Ti-Cats for Brohm? So far this year they've coughed up two losses .. ;-)

It's people being facetious more than anything else .. but given Taman's track record when it comes to acquiring "veteran talent" .. I guess anything IS possible.

Let's hope Neufeld steps in and does well. Our oline needs to set the tone early. I hope Daniels can stay on the field tonight .. the drop off in protection if he goes down again is not going to be pretty.

ANOTHER hit against our QB that went unflagged during the normal course of the game but has earned punishment after the fact .. sometimes I wonder if certain CFL referees simply have their heads up their asses when they call a Bomber game. What did you think of the hit Glenn took before half time? Right under the chin with a helmet, was really wondering why that wasn't a call. The worst call/ non-call in the Bomber game IMO was the first interception by Brohm. One edm defending shielded the receiver away from the ball and the other caught it. If that isn't pass interference I don't know what is. Pathetic that the Esks get those calls. Later on O'Shea had to challenge to get the other interference call on another int by the Esks. Jones gets those calls the same way Buono and Mathews used to because they stand there and chew on the refs the whole game on the sidelines so the refs give them the calls. Quiet coaches like O"shea and Chamblin aren't getting the close calls because the refs know they won't biatch about it. IMHO First of all, I don't like seeing QBs across this league taking illegal shots. Period. End of story. Secondly, this isn't the first instance Willy has been hit illegally and a referee hasn't made a call on the field .. it's happened twice so far this year and a number of times last year as well .. all for the league to come in after the fact and say, "Sorry Bombers, we missed that." Lastly, quiet has nothing to do with it .. it's a simple matter of competence. Here is a picture of Willy being hit. One arrow points to Willy and the other to the position of the official who is responsible for the making that call was (he's not in the picture but is correctly positioned). Please tell me how he was supposed to see that low hit with all the bodies between him and Willy. If an official isn't capable of routinely observing what's going on in a collapsing pocket and performing (what it his primary function on passing plays) then he has no business being on the field.

We are going to need a very disciplined and consistent pass rush tonight because I suspect our DBs are going to have their hands full .. I also wouldn't be against having a spy in an effort to limit Lulay using his legs to move the chains .. this game has the potential to be a complete horror story if the defense can't get off the field (or if the offense can't sustain drives and limit mistakes).

And yet, of all active quarterbacks, Willy has third most yards rushing, is third in average yards per rush and has the third longest run of any QB in the league this season .. There's a difference between a 'pocket passer' and a guy who looks to pass first and run second .. Willy can and does extend plays with his legs. He's done it time and again over the season and a half he's been our starter.
