Maybe its just me, but I suspect most coaches will game plan based on what they see on the film, not what is said or not said in media interviews. Other coaches will also judge how capable Mike and his team of coaches are based on game film, not a media interview.

Might need some depth pieces for the Moose / callups. I would guess Sgarbossa ends up going to the Moose, Copp centres the 4th line with Connor / Lemieux / Petan, but there are some nice young pieces on the Moose that will be used for injury callups. Can see some more depth D signings for the Moose. Wondering if Nosier and Poolman would be the first to get their chance with injury callus.

No different then Pronger the last two years and he got a job with the league while still getting paid for the last 3 years of his contract. Don't think the NHL has a problem with this sort of thing, and I don't think you can really punish the team for a player that has a valid condition that stops them from playing.

Pavelec was carrying a cap hit of $3.9M. Hellebuyck is likely to sign a relatively cheap deal as he has just come off his ELC and hasn't earned a big bump in salary. If Mason signs for 2 years @ $4M, cap wise it is pretty much a lateral move from what we had invested in goal tending last season.
