  1. Unjustly? Maybe my insatiable hatred comment was a little dramatic but here is four pages down memory lane of your thoughts on Enstrom. You be the judge how it comes across. You certainly rarely pass up the chance to criticize whenever his name comes up http://morningbigblue.com/community/search/?&q=Enstrom&page=1&author=kelownabomberfan
  2. It is actually a general thread for any random CFL discussion topic or piece of news during the playoffs that doesn't necessarily need its own thread. We had one for the regular season, one for the playoffs, and will for the off season as well. The Medlock report / statement broke during the playoffs, so it is fair game. That tweet is actually the very first post in this thread.
  3. I know you have an insatiable hate for Enstrom but why do you want to get rid of Lowry?
  4. Lindholms deal @ 5.2 includes these 2 years of RFA years that Trouba is playing out. Trouba got paid$3M per for those 2 years. So if you are signing Trouba to the same term as Hampus (6 years), and want to match that deal you are going to pay more because there will be more UFA years included in it. So I think you need to up that to $7M minimum if you want him to sign long term (6+). Or you go 4 years @ 6M which would pretty much match the Lindholm deal and give him back the $4M he lost out on these past two years playing for $3M instead of $5M. But like you said, and have to ask yourself, if he was willing to sign for that kind of money, that deal would have been done two years ago. He either wants more money or doesn't want to be in Winnipeg long term, or both.
  5. Looks like it was closed by mistake. Poll is open again.
  6. Picks need to be in by Sunday @ 12PM
  7. Lots of free places you can upload then they will give you a link. This is the first that came up in search http://tinypic.com/
  8. UPdate was posted in this threads. At 26.5k
  9. 2 1/2 more days for sales. If the 1,000 tickets a day stays true, and even picks up as we get closer to game day, good chance we get close to 30k,
  10. Two days out and the forecast for Sunday looks to be -3 with little to no wind. Shaping up to be a beautiful day for football. Lets get those tickets sold!
  11. Westwood seems to be getting more and more "preachy" the longer he is on the air. The chemistry between him and Toth does not seem to be materializing. I put a lot of this on Toth. He is supposed to be the polished / educated broadcaster and host. Others in that role seemed to manage the show much better. There are too many times where Toth starts giving his opinion on things that he comes across too wishy washy and won’t really commit to what he is saying. Either what he says sounds like he put about 2 seconds of thought into it and is the exact same comment you would hear from a buddy on the weekend.
  12. BTW, the ridiculous amounts of commercials on CJOB is how we moved over to TSN1290 on the drive to and from the games in the first place. We would flip over to TSN1290 during the commercials and at some point just decided to stay there.
  13. CJOB just has too many commercials in and out of the broadcast for it to have any flow. Not a huge Bauming fan either, but would rather listen to Westwood and Walby than Brown. CJOB doesn't have a whole lot to offer once Irving retires. TSN has access to the whole TV coverage crew and related people.
  14. I've already stopped listening to CJOB pre and post game. 1290 does a much better job. The only good thing CJOB has pre and post game is the coach's interview, which is pretty much written into their contract. And yes, a further reaching signal.
  15. I love Irving and would never want to see him leave, but he is 67, is he really going to be able to go to 74? I would have liked the rights to go to TSN1290, not sure what else CJOB has to offer other then Irving. Hope the Bombers got a good amount of cash for this deal.
  16. Picks need to be in by 12PM Sunday.
  17. Was chat any better last game?
  18. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/cfl/cfl-player-safety-eliminate-contact-increase-schedule-1.4288079 The frequency of these were severely reduced prior to this. Just recently they were taken away completely.

  20. I get you have a huge hate on for the goalie coach, but this criticism makes no sense. I've never seen you or anyone criticize the team for all the work Scheifele does on his own to better his career, he is applauded for it. These players are the elite of the elite. If they don't have the drive and want to continue to improve on their own during the off season, most don't stay in the league long term.

  22. I don't think this is entirely true, I know it has had problems, but there was a time it was better. Without trying to going into a lot of the technical details that will bore most people into why it has been bad then better and worse again, there has been some back and forth on the hosting and how the backend chat server has been working. Right now we are on a hosted version of Babble. Just installed a release today that I am told should clear some of these issues up. If it doesn't, I will have to return to a self hosted version where I can control resources allocated to it. It is not a quick thing to set that server up, so if I end up going that route, it will have to wait until I can find the cycles to do it.
