And the biggest selling point to get A LOT of guys up here initially is that they can get some film and go back.  Those are guys who get cut in their first camp here and guys who play up here for 15 years.  The league has played around with rookie contracts, NFL window or not.  Always comes back to this reality for the American players and an increasing number of Canadian players too.  Guys will chase spots in NFL camps or play in spring leagues over the CFL if the window isn't there.  And yet in a given off-season the league loses like 1 out of 100 players.  It's not a problem at all. 

Why would the NFL compensate the CFL?

Ford tho really is a blessing to get away from....easily replaced at half the price or less.....Our real issue was Dline/end....LB....receiver...Oline
As it is and looking at what's left to scrounge through...our receiving group will be weaker...our dline as well...got older...and weaker....We did grab a legit LB but missed out on a few others....oline hasnt been adressed....yet.....there are guys there but in all honesty other than at center we would have been okay with same group...or one of Wallace/Eli for Dobson's spot if he leaves....our main issue is at center but we already know Osh is gonna hand that job to Kolo regardless of how camp plays out.
We just may be going into camp and season with a bunch of unknowns and yet to prove them selves guys...

Agreed he wasn’t an all-star by traditional means but … I still don’t understand how anyone could even suggest our OL is “better” 

Yet the Younger hire was pretty much exactly the same thing. Highly regarded young coach with a highly respected older mentor off in the wings.  I was apprehensive last year when we demoted Hall and gave the reigns to Younger. That experience has me with much more of a wait and see attitude this year. I like that they brought in a mentor for Hogan to work along side him.

Well all u bitchin about BO not getting the ball enough in the GC, that issue is fixed! 😉

I hope he turns out to be amazing, this is just not the kind of question mark I wanted this year. 

They’re playing Holm in a different way than last year. Tough to compare. Playing deeper and coming up to tackle vs playing man all the time. Younger had said this over the summer 
Easily best in the league but we see him snubbed every year. I think this might be his best year yet.

To play devil's advocate here... I'd suggest that the coaches already know exactly what those players can do in the league so what's a few snaps in preseason going to tell them that they don't already know? I think decisions about MLB and safety are already pretty settled. Either a  incumbent it taking the job or they know a new face can step up and claim it. No side by aide comparison needed.
