Most coaches that are fired seem to be going into their last year on their contracts. That being said, how do you as Wade Miller sell the idea of a new contract to the fans for Mike O'Shea? I think it's impossible without an appearance in the Grey Cup.

Five years with the same entire regime. The problem is they may not be any closer if they all stick around for another 5 years. At some point & soon either we truly win or something's gotta give.

Drafts very well also. I will say this. he & his staff prepare about as well as Hufnagel does. That 2008 Stamps GC team was all Barker's draft & FA work as Huff was just the coach & Barker started building it in 2005. Overall though, Walters has done a pretty good job drafting for the Bombers as well. He knows Canadian talent that's for sure. I think though if Barker was our GM we'd have found some pretty good receivers by now. Our DL would be stronger as would our secondary.

The Bombers have trouble winning on the road in BC, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatchewan, Ottawa, Hamilton, Montreal & Toronto. Other than that, it's all good.

I like Barker for GM. Steinhauer for HC but let's face it, Miller would never do that.

Who would that be, JBR? Oh, Clements? I think he's early 60's. But no experience as a GM & HC. That wouldn't be a smart hire.

I'd be all for starting over & hiring Orlando Steinhauer as Head Coach.

Firing O'Shea falls on Walters. The Bomber President would be consulted.

We're talking Walters here. He would never do that. He & Mike O'Shea are joined at the hip.

To get yards the receivers have to catch the ball. We have guys that drop catchable footballs. We don't have guys that can make contested passes. When is the last time a Bomber made a spectacular catch downfield? Or a game where we dominated as receivers. I don't remember.

Until they played the Ti Cats. Then it was shut down.

I think the same way. If fans think having Streveler in there will mean a radical departure from what we're doing now, think again.

What can Streveler do that Nichols can't? It'll be the same O philosophy. Throw short all over the field. Yeah, he can run but he won't beat a CFL D with just his legs. We don't have the receivers to stretch the field. This is coaching more than anything,I believe. Now we can't win with a running game.

In Nichols defense, could Doug Flutie put up numbers any better with the sad sack receivers & horizontal offense we have where every play is stretch the field? I think the longest throw was Nichols TD or Streveler's. That was it. Dink & dunk in the flats all game long. Or throw for 5 when we need 10.
